About 6 miles from Glastonbury,The Old Cowstall is a self catering property set in the Somerset countryside with lovely rural views,making it a very private and ideal location for short breaks or longer stays to visit the many places of attraction in the area.The village of East Lydford is near to Glastonbury,Street,Wells,Yeovil,Castle Cary,Somerton with Bristol and Bath

less than 1Hr drive away.It was converted in the summer of 2015 and offers superb 2 bedroomed accommodation with underfloor heating throughout,fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher etc,and walk in wet room.There is a fenced patio are for guests exclusive use with seating and B-B-Q facilities.The large grass area may be used (at own risk)and shared with our other property and occasional visiting Grandchildren !!

There are several National Trust properties nearby,including Montacute House,Stourhead and Lytes Cary.

Also,Haynes International Motor Museum and Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum and The Rural Life Museum are interesting places to visit.

Cheddar Caves,The Somerset Levels ,Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral,

Clark's Village, make this area an ideal location to suit all ages and interests.

I booked a weekend away for my mom's birthday and I couldn't of chosen a better place. The accomadation was everything it said in the description and more. As a family, we go away a lot and this is one of the best places we have stayed in. We will definitely be returning.

This is the perfect place for comfort, peace & also for children. In fact it suits so many requirements you can't go wrong. It's warm, welcoming and comfortable. There are indoor & outdoor toys for the children. If you're looking to chill out as a couple, it's so comfortable & serene you can't fail to relax.

“Beautifully tidy "cow shed" with gorgeous view”

The location of this cow shed is gorgeous! it has a lovely view out over green green grass complete with swings!! Quiet location, peaceful gardens which Jan has beautiful planted wonderfully scented flowers in colorful bloom. Ideal for Glastonbury, Yeovil, Haynes Motor Museum & many many more attractions to see & visit. Tastefully decorated inside the cowshed & complete with everything you should need for a self catering place. Me & 3 other school friends got together for a weekend to catch up & it was brilliant! would definitely recommend this place & I know all four of us are planning a return to Jan & Paul's beautiful "cowshed"

We stayed in The Cowstall for two nights and would definitely recommend it. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. We have a 2 & 4 year old and had travelled for over 4 hours. The owner, Jan, welcomed us on arrival and made everything so easy. She had bought us some essentials and even gave our Son a teddy as he lost his at the services! The outside area is absolutely brilliant for young children. Our kids could run around and play on the swings without any hazards to worry about. This made our break much more relaxing than I was expecting! Overall, I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would happily stay there again. Thanks!
