Description

The Old House, built in the mid 1600's has recently been renovated (June 2013) to a high standard. It comprises 2 bedrooms, both en-suite, Lounge, kitchen/breakfast room and private garden.

It comprises modern features incorporating a sense of the age. Beams can be found in all of the main rooms including beautiful feature walls on the stairs and landing.

If you are staying in the Cotswolds you want to stay in a property that encapsulates the feeling of Broadway in the heart of Broadway.

The Old House is situated on the Upper High Street with parking on the frontage. The only letting property on the high street with frontage parking.

Broadway is the jewel in the Cotswolds crown. It is small and quaint yet has enough restaurants to eat out at a different one each night of the week. The choices of restaurants cover from your local pub (as in the Crown and Trumpet) to more up market such as Russells, Lygon Arms and Luke's. Broadway also has standard chain fair plus an Italian and even a chip shop / restaurant that serves drink! What could be better on a cold evening.

Broadway has proved, to those staying as, very central to many of the attractions of the Cotswolds, Stratford, Warwick, Worcester, Cheltenham and even Oxford.

The Cotswolds region

Broadway, Evesham is found just off the main A44 and can be approached from the south via Leamington Road (left of the A44). At the round-about in Broadway take the first left onto the upper high Street. The property is approx 150 meters on the right.

From the North via A46 and then A44. At round-about on A44 take 3rd exit onto B4632 (Evesham road). Continue on the main high street of Broadway until you reach the round-about at the far end. Take 2nd exit (straight on) . Bay House is found approx 150 metres on the right.

Broadway

Broadway has several high quality (ranging in expense) restaurants (Broadway Hotel, The Swan, Russells, Lygon Arms Hotel to name some). In addition there are many cafes of a traditional nature serving very good food again at reasonable prices. The village also comprises an Indian restaurant, Italian restaurant, chip shop and further pubs (Crown and Trumpet and The Horse and Hound).

“Cosy cottage”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2016

We had a most enjoyable stay at The Old House which is on the High Street and very convenient for walking into the lovely town. The cottage is small but adequate for 2 couples to enjoy with 2 lovely enusites. A little more equipment, including various size glasses would be useful. I would recommend the cottage especially for a short break. This is a very attractive area and there are places near by to visit, and plenty of places to eat in the town. Our weekend was cold but dry and sunny which made our time in the Cotswolds especially rememberable.

Additional glasses added. I ask that anyone staying let me know of any breakages so I can replace before next people arrive (or even during their stay). This would also mean that I replace with same rather than items being replaced randomly. Again - additional glasses of varying sizes re-provided

The cottage is perfect for a relaxing Cotswolds break. It's position on the high street is great for pubs, etc and it is lovely and quiet. It is ideal for couples/friends sharing as both bedrooms are en-suite. Greg was very helpful,we had to change our arrival date at short notice and he did this for us. We will book again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Margaret, Thanks again for taking the time to review my property It's a real pleasure getting such a positive review and am pleased you enjoyed your stay with friends.
