Had a wonderful time here, the views of Porthleven are amazing, its a 10 min scenic walk down to the harbour. the property had everything we needed and the garden is huge!. the owner Jeffrey met us at the property at 10.30PM which was nice as most places will not allow a check in at that time and he lives quite a while away. it is also very well priced for what you get, usually a house of this size with the views would set you back quite a lot but my holiday was a absolute bargain. i also got my deposit back on the exact date stated. i would 100% recommend a a stay here!!! …
Lovely Clean Comfortable and Quiet Cottage
Stayed here for 4 nights during half term. It was a lovely cottage with everything you could want. Lovely personal touches and brilliant that Judy provided milk, butter, jam and a loaf on arrival. The approach road was a bit hairy and I caught my exhaust on it every time! Could have been signposted better on the main road as a bit difficult to find. Also would have been nice to have larger bath sheets instead of bath towels. Having said all that I would stay here again. …
The Lamp House, Porthleven. Spectacular Sea Views
Faultless accommodation with stunning sea views
The Lamp House has been beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped to provide very comfortable accommodation and offered far more than I would have expected from a holiday let. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was helpful and friendly information about the local area and top tips on the best pubs, restaurants, beaches and cliff top walks. But the single biggest selling point is the stunning outlook from the first floor lounge. The sea view is so unspoiled that even our teenagers were impressed! We also loved Porthleven (just ten minutes walk down the road) with its pretty setting around the harbour and great restaurants. We are already being pestered about a return trip and would most definitely recommend it to others. …
SALTAIRE HOLIDAY COTTAGE PORTHLEVEN
What a lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and everything you could need at home let alone a holiday rental. Crisp white bedding, towels supplied and even everything from tea towels to dishwasher tablets in the kitchen, had I had known I could have bought less from home !! Would have made my husband happier not having to carry extra bags.
Garden is beautiful with plenty of furniture.
The owners should be proud of their standards as this is by far the best amenities we have been offered in Holiday let’s. We have rented many holiday homes all of which have been lovely but this one offered everything.
Weather wasn’t favourable but knowing we had this cottage to return to made everything OK.
Cottage is really an understatement, it is very large and spacious.
Short walk to the lovely harbour with plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. Small town but lots to offer and close to other lovely days out.
Sunset on the longest day of the year from the 1st floor lounge window. …
An Diank Meur - The Great Escape 19th Century Fisherman’s cottage
Lovely cottage in beautiful Cornish village, dogs welcome too!
This is a terrific cottage, comfortably furnished, with everything you need. It had three bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and little patio outside. It's a traditional terraced fisherman's cottage with lots of charm but also plenty of mod cons like a washing machine and dryer, good sized television and a wood burner. The only sounds at night are the seagulls squawking! The sofa and beds were very comfortable and games and books were on offer. The kitchen and bathroom are downstairs (one floor below the living room) so if you're very tall watch your head! It was spotlessly clean and dogs were welcome. The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from the harbour, beaches and centre of Porthleven. So you can stroll out the front door and be tucking into coffee or cream tea minutes later, at one of the thriving cafes and restaurants in the village. These range from lovely cafes with home made wares like the The Twisted Currant to Rick Stein's elegant restaurant. The pubs are great too, perfect for sipping a pint looking over the harbour. The nearby beaches, all walking distance, are not crowded and dogs are welcome on one. The village is also very handy for nearby Helston and great places to visit like the seal sanctuary at Gweek. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you Maria and Robert! …
We all loved it!
We spent a week at Arrowvean Cottage and we all loved it. We are a family of 5 and found the cottage big enough for all of us and very comfortable. It is very well equipped, clean and practical. After a long car journey with 3 children we were so please to arrive to a very clean cottage and to find milk in the fridge as well as coffee, tea bags and biscuits! The cottage has a lovely garden and is very well located in the village, close to the shops, pubs and harbour. Porthleven is a charming place with easy access to other interesting villages and beaches. We were very sad to leave! …
