Lovely cottage with all you need and exceptional cleanliness - especially the beds.
Great base area for visiting many local resorts. Only down side was the very narrow lanes to reach the cottage, just a car width really and some cars flying around the bends which we found scary at times - otherwise a perfect holiday retreat. …
Ginentonic Self Catering Cottage. The Square, St Keverne.
Perfect place for a relaxing getaway !
This cottage was everything and more that was advertised . The cottage was in a beautiful village that was accessible to so many great locations that you didn't know where to go visit next. The cottage itself was a treasure, everything that could have been provided to make your stay as relaxing as possible was thought of.The owners were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them.I will be coming back at some point in the future. …
Beautiful Traditional Cottage
We had everything we needed at Palm Cottage for a cosy 4-night stay, and appreciated the supply of books and games so the TV didn't get much use! The location is perfect for exploring the area by car or bike - coastal path, beaches, coves, Minnack theatre, St Michael's Mount were all within easy reach. We didn't find any paths from the village but found some fabulous walks and swimming from Coverack, 5 miles away. We organised an evening shopping delivery after arrival- we were told the nearest shop is about 2 miles away in Mawgan since the village shop closed at Christmas. There are tables in the lounge, kitchen and garden so you can spread out according to your mood and the weather. We found the washing line useful to dry off our swimming things, The kitchen is well equiped with plenty of pots, dishes, jugs, mugs, wine glasses etc. The fridge has a small ice/freezer compartment which comfortably fits a tub of ice-cream and ice cube tray but not room for a lot of frozen food. Just 1 toilet and shower in downstairs bathroom but that's all we needed and all was nice and clean. …
The Old Stable
Perfect New Year Getaway
The Old Stable is a brilliant base for a couple looking to getaway and explore the Cornish coast. It is furnished really well and the use of space is amazing. Porthallow is a lovely place with a good pub, we missed a little shop though where we could walk to get the newspaper and fresh bread in the mornings! Loved that I could get no phone signal as was completely shut off and forced to relax. The only thing I would say is that if you want to cook in the cottage you are quite limited without any hob facility and watching Christmas films on the TV was interrupted by the poor signal. Overall fantastic stay, lovely cottage and location. Would thoroughly recommend. …
