“Beautiful comfortable cottage, imacculately clean” This is a perfect hideaway, very quiet in lovely surroundings. The cottage was immaculate and comfortable with everything you could wish for. Our hosts were friendly but discrete, we just wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully we will visit again
“Lovely getaway from city life!” Thoroughly enjoyed our time at shepherds retreat. Had the firepit going, ensured wingy (the duck) was well fed, and played plenty of monopoly!
The location is great, although a car is definitely necessary for travel into Ledbury and to nearby pubs.
Hosts very helpful, able to supply leaflets about local cycle hire and routes, as well as information about the best places to eat, and walk.
No problems at all, i hope to return one day!
Sorry for the delayed review! Exams got a bit on top of us again!
The Old Rectory Luxury Coach House Close to Ledbury/Malvern
Stunning property in a beautiful location.
What an amazing find this was! Jules and Chris are fantastic hosts and have created a relaxing, luxurious and welcoming atmosphere in their beautiful Coach House property.
Every detail has been thought about, from a wonderful welcome pack (including tasty treats for our dog!), lovely products in the bathrooms, down to torches to help you light your way if you happen to be out for a walk after dark in the country lanes.
The Coach House is the most calming retreat you could hope to find. We can’t wait to come back. …
Retreat in the woods
We had a super time in the 'Shepherds retreat'. Its small but everything is there, shower, WC, cooker and fridge. We had a few meals eating outside watching the wildlife and birds at the feeder. It is very close to Ledbury and easy driving to Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester.(But check the traffic there are lots of roadworks and diversions around) It was too dry for the fire pit and the duck pond had dried out too but there is plenty to see and lots of outside space to sit at. We would recommend it for a few days away. …
Westwood, luxurious modern holiday home, Ledbury
This is a lovely property in a beautiful area. The house had everything we needed for our stay and provided essential cleaning products too.
Kitchen was very modern and had easy to follow instructions for appliances. Plenty of seating for everyone and lots & lots of cupboard space!
(it would have been good to have had a list of the items the local council take for recycling as there are separate bins, but apart from paper and card we put everything else into the black bin!)
Plenty of room for everyone. The bedrooms all had enough storage but only a few hangers, so if you like to hang most things up (like I do) you may want to take a few with you!
This was the perfect property to spend a week in with 3 generations of our family, ideally located for lots of places of interest. …
Super Stylish Barn Conversion Sleeps 6 People and Dog on Working Farm
Beautiful barn house!
Greeted by the owner Sophie and her children on arrival and this converted barn really blew us away. We woke up to vast fields of green and it is just so peaceful! My family felt very welcome and Sophie also shared some freshly baked shortbread shortly after our arrival, which was lovely and delicious. The children loved playing with the pet dogs and kittens whilst the rest of the family were relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The accommodation is 10/15 minutes from Ledbury but you will need a car for convenience. Beautiful rooms and views - will definitely be returning for another stay :) …
Cosy Shepherds Hut for 2 on Herefordshire Farm.
If you are looking for a break away, why book a hotel room where you will still be restricted to 4 walls and the noise of town and city life.
Escape to the country, go back to basics, spend your evening in front of a crackling fire, breathe in the country air, spend your morning surrounded by greenery and chickens with the odd visit from the resident kittens and dogs. Go for walks. Definitely gets my vote.
Breakfast was superb and Sophie & Co were lovely. …
Perfect location & dog-freindly
This is a perfect location for us to stay when we return to the Herefordshire area. Easy to keep clean with a dog in tow & as we were working collecting apples, the space in the kitchen allowed boots & outer clothing to be stored. The cottage is cleverly designed, bright, clean & comfortable with an extremely comfortable bed. Perfect for 2 people (we had an assistant apple-picker & he was fine on the z-bed too).
We will definately return & we must organise our bookings in advance as I think this is a popular place to stay! …
