“Cosy, peacefull & affordable” Cosy barn, large rooms, soothing atmosphere. Price affordable if you are with a large group (up to 6) and share price, especially off season. Owner very friendly and helpfull. Well located to visit the coswalds and Oxford.
We wanted a quiet relaxing break - just the two of us and this cottage came up with the goods. The weather was not brilliant but this is the sort of cosy place it's hard to leave. Started well with the chocolates and filter coffee on arrival. The village centre is fascinating - good café (or more like the village meeting point) and very interesting church. The Trout pub was OK but probably better in the warmer weather. If you do no want to eat out, good selection very good local produce available, even in the Londis. Went to Burford - very nice village for browsing the shops and coffee. Overall really enjoyed the stay. Would recommend the cottage without hesitation. Left with the feeling there's a lot more to explore in the area for next time. …

The Barn Cotswolds
Great house, lovely host, great setting, perfect!
We were a group of 6 old friends looking for a house for us to have a long overdue get together for the weekend. The Barn was perfect, with a large space downstairs to relax and spend time together and a table for us to enjoy meals together (and dance around in the evening). There were 2 bedrooms which meant sharing rooms (and beds in some cases) but being a group of close friends, this didn't bother us for the 2 evenings we stayed.
The small touches made all the difference: the chocolate cake baked by Deborah left on the table on our arrival and the home made flapjacks in the bedrooms. A lovely surprise.
The barn was well equipped and had many added value facilities including a gym/fitness room (great after the homemade cakes)!
The barn was a short stroll from the town which had good pubs and restaurants.
All in all we can't recommend enough and we would certainly return. …
