“Great holiday in a lovely property” We stayed at the Mill House as an extended family (myself, my husband, my parents, my brother and sister in law and four kids under the age of 5). It is a lovely, spacious property in quiet location but within walking distance of the local village pub and shop in Brighstone. Positive points: Great welcome pack Lovely bedrooms which were spacious with comfortable beds and quality linen. The view from the bedrooms is delightful and it was particularly good to wake up to see the cows in the field neighbouring the garden. Lots of room for the kids to play both inside and out Plenty of toys and games to keep the children entertained - the 3 year and 2 year old particularly liked the jigsaws. Lots of room to park - great if you are travelling with multiple cars as we were. Negative points: We felt that the cleaning wasn't up to the expected standard in the bathrooms (some areas were a bit grimey so we had to wipe them ourselves), the kitchen cupboard doors which were visibly greasy, especially around the handles and the snug which was quite dusty in places. Not much cupboard space for food as all but one of the cupboards were full of crockery (even with ten of us staying we couldn't get through that much crockery). There is no stool for the piano and no music so it was a bit of a pretty ornament (shame as we would have liked to have used it). A TV in the main sitting room would have been nice as there wasn't room for all 6 of the adults to sit in the Snug to watch television together. I must stress that the negatives above we're only minor irritations and that on the whole, we had a great time. I would go back to the property in future years and would be happy to recommend it to friends.

“Shanklin Villa Apartments.” A return visit and once again we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff and even got a text message to tell us the 'Beatrice' was ready earlier than we expected. Sea view this time and all equipment we needed was provided. Made use of the leisure facilities at nearby Luccombe Manor Hotel and the local buses to tour the island. (Bus stop close by and could use bus passes!) Great to go earlier in the year and take advantage of Shanklin Villa Apartment's special deals. Weather was kind to us too. Hope to return next year, if the deals are on. He he.

“MARVELOUS SHANKLIN” The apartment we stayed in was the Montague which is 3 bed and quite honestly could not be faulted in anyway . it has large rooms and particularly the lounge and kitchen are more than adequate size . Everything is clean and all that you need such as bed linen , towels and cleaning equipment are provided and what particularly sets it apart is the hot tub , what a bonus , even towards the end of October was fantastic .

“Fantastic first family holiday” We were a day late starting our holiday due to minor illness- Carol from Shanklin Villa kindly changed our ferry and arranged for the lovely Mary to meet us at the apartment shortly after our ferry arrived to show us around. We were taking our first holiday with our 8 month old and the requested highchair and cot were already in the apartment when we arrived. We stayed in the Cadogan apartment which has beautiful sea views from the lounge window. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a home away from home stay- fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare and serve full meals. More importantly for me- there was also a hair dryer in the bedroom. The apartments are only a stones throw from the cliff top at Shanklin which is then a short trip downhill to the beach. We also used the indoor swimming pool at Luccombe hall hotel one wet afternoon- this is a lovely included extra benefit. The only slight negative would be the sash windows- I can imagine that in the summer the apartments would get hot and not being able to open the windows very far would lead to stuffiness in the apartments. Though this wasn't a problem for us.

“Clean, tidy, & very well equipped apartment” Really happy with this holiday let, we have booked other places and been disappointed when we arrived but this one does exactly what it says on the tin and more. It is situated in an excellent part of shanklin with easy reach of everything and just a short stroll from the lovely old village. The apartment came with the use of a hot tub which had lovely sea views . Apartment was well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and the cupboards were stocked with washing powder, dishwasher tablets and washing up cloths, the only thing I would say it lacked was a swifter for the floor and something to wipe the bathroom floor as it was a wet room and got very wet and took a long time to dry but we would definitely return
