“We love this house.” The Mill House can't really be faulted for good taste or facilities. The bedrooms are luxurious, the bathrooms huge and spotless with great white baths and modern showers. It's got all (really, all!) mod cons, elegant furnishings, stone and wood floors and lots of land/garden for sitting and wandering. It's a quick walk down to the seaside and the house is convenient for the rest of the island while being rural and quiet. Brighstone village (a few minutes walk) is notable for its lovely shops (get everything from your newspaper and pint of milk to a huge array of local produce). The house is very handsome indeed, and the owners have, I noted this time, done all necessary work on the very few areas that showed any signs of age in recent years (I've visited The Mill House 4 times in 4 years). The place makes me feel like I've joined the smart set and I've slowly learned how to use an Aga (though there's a posh electric Neff if you can't be bothered). If you have children you can use the giant TV in a separate room on rainy days. Barbecue, do laundry, try to use more than a fraction of the endless stores of lovely crockery and the kitchen kit (you won't be able to), sit about in the big sitting room reading 'Island Life' and feeling like you really ought to buy a yacht once you win the premium bonds.... the place is vast, as well, so you can escape to another part of it any time. They do short breaks. Um ... I really feel I should live there ....
“Carriers Stable - Superb” Have had a wonderful New Year break at Carriers Stable in Brigstone,Isle of White.
From start to finish Vanessa and Glyn helped and communicated at short notice allowing us a break in their 5* accommodation. Everything was as described and more, home from home. We had a superb dwelling, great location, Christmas theme, lovely bed linen and fluffy towels. A nice garden area for having breakfast watching the birds on warmer days. The village has a shop, church and a pub with an abundance of walks around the area to explore.
A great break and somewhere to recommend or return to with no hesitation. Thank you both.

Grange Farm Static Caravans
Fantastic setting friendly staff, perfect for young family
Lovely little farm setting only a walk away from the pretty bay. The children loved getting up in the morning and feeding the goats, chickens, ducks etc and then watching all of the animals come in off the fields in the evening. Playground was good for my 2 year old and my 5 year old which is very refreshing. The staff were lovely. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend. …
Grange Farm Barn Conversions
Fabulous, spotless, friendly holiday farm!
This was a great place to stay, we stayed in the converted stables and it was beautiful. 3 good sized bedrooms, very comfortable lounge with satalite tv and a well equipt kitchen with everything you could need. There was even a few essentials left there for us - dishwasher tablets - jams, tea and coffee sachets which was lovely. The farm itself was great with a wide range of animals which you could visit at any time, and the shop on site had a vast amount of leaflets to inform you of things to do on the island. The location was great and easy to find and you were never more than 40 mins from anywhere else you wanted to visit. The village was great and very friendly and we had 2 fabulous meals out at the 3 bishops pub (a must if you go to brighstone). All in all a fab holiday and will def be going back x …
The Mill House, 5 Star Gold Award Georgian Farmhouse sleeping 12 guests
We couldn't have found a better property on the island
We were expecting a welcome pack based on the reviews we read before our arrival but it exceeded our expectations - the hot cross buns were great and the selection of Easter chocolate was a lovely surprise. We felt very much at home straight away.
The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all a very good size with comfortable beds. The bathrooms upstairs are very large and for us the main shower was the one we all wanted to use - excellent water pressure and loads of hot water.
Outside the house the garden is large and orchard had masses of room for parking. It was a great place to run the dogs in the morning.
The local shop in the centre of Brighstone is a gem. Great selection of fresh veg and other foods and very friendly staff that helped us locate the best walking in the area. The downs are spectacular once you reach the top of the hill. Cycle rides and runs are easy to find on the doorstep.
It was a perfect location to celebrate our sons 21st although he did suggest that the piano could do with tuning! …
