“Exceeded our expectations”
Comfortable, clean and well-equipped cottage in a lovely part of the island. The owners had thought of everything!
Thank you for your very kind review, it helps us a lot.
It's difficult to find fault with this very nice little cottage. It is in a quite area which suited us fine. Pub, shop and cafe are a short walk away. Highly recommended.
Thank you very much appreciated.
“Wonderful cottage for 2”
The cottage is a wonderful place for a completely relaxing break. It was impeccably clean and very well equipped. Vanessa and Glyn were very welcoming and informative both about the cottage and local area. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and found Brighstone a good place from which to explore the island; The coast is within walking distance, if you like walking but you really need a car if you want to go further afield. The village has a good pub (friendly staff and locals!) and well-stocked post office which seemed to be open all hours and Sundays! There is also a village shop and café. If the weather had been bad, we would have quite happily stayed in. There is a dvd player and a good selection of books to choose from in the cottage and a lovely wood burner effect fire - perfect for cosy nights in. We would definitely stay here again.
“A Splendid Holiday and Break to Remember”
Perfect in every way. Warm, cosy and comfortable, peaceful and quiet. We tried to think of something we might need that wasn't provided - there was nothing! We know why people want to return - we hope to be 2 more that do! We didn't want to leave! The pheasant paid us a visit along with many other birds which are a joy to watch from the kitchen window. Brighstone is beautiful and this has been the perfect base for exploring the island. Very nicely situated both for Newport for shopping and dining whilst being in lovely West Wight for the scenery and avoiding the very busy Eastern towns. 'Gold' award from the Tourist accreditation body is very well deserved.
