“A Lovely Place to Stay” Woodfield Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is well equipped with everything you need, including pamphlets about the local area and places to visit. You are welcomed on your arrival with fresh milk, cookies, farm fresh eggs, and cut flowers on the dining room table.
The bungalow is very clean, comfortable and roomy. It has a large private garden and is surrounded by open fields.
The owner, Kathy, is extremely welcoming and she could not do enough to ensure that the five of us were comfortable during our stay. Visiting from Canada we were unfamiliar with the area, Kathy not only provided us with information regarding train travel to and from Chester, car rental locations, places to visit (and a host of other information), but supplied us with a GPS and giant map of Britain for our sightseeing excursions.
We enjoyed our stay at Woodfield, and would definitely go back if visting the Cheshire area.
“Lovely apartment in ideal position” Lovely apartment with all facilities, ideally placed for town, river and canal. The secure parking was a great benefit. We left our cars all weekend and walked. Chester is a beautiful city. We had a great time and would certainly return.
“Luxury” A very pleasant three day break in an extremely well furnished and equipped accommodation. Everything was of top quality throughout including the welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Mags (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful but in no-way obtrusive. This is 5star+ accommodation run by a 5star+ person.
“Serene in the green” The Oak Barn cottages are super nice, clean and serene. The place itself is very comfortable and light and airy, and Jayne is the hostess with a grand smile; very accomodating. I especially liked strolling down across the River Dee to Holt in Wales to get provisions. The greenery and tranquility of the area are very soothing. I just wish we had more time to visit the Peal O' Bells pub there. And, you're only about 15 minute drive from Chester and all that implies.
“Gorgeous little Gem in Chester” We had such a lovely time staying at the Little Tin Chapel, a wonderful place. We booked it so that we could go to Chester zoo, which we loved and only a 12 minute drive away. The Little Tin Chapel was a great find as it has lots of character and we really enjoyed lighting the wood burner and relaxing in the evening there. Definitely would recommend!
“Large barn convertion” Yes this is a very roomy property with large patio doors looking over the countryside of Cheshire. We really appreciated the king size bed and roominess of the bedroom. Downstairs we had a lovely wooden floor, smart TV and good kitchen area. The conversion was bright and airy. We really enjoyed the views to the rear, with an outside table and chairs in the patio area. The location is close to Chester and the zoo, huge shopping centre, etc. and the local village has a co-op, chippie and Chinese as well as a post office. Great holiday spot.
“Lovely house right in the centre of Chester” Little gem of a house-felt immediately at home! Couldn't wish for a better location to sight-see Chester and surrounding area. Would recommend to friends and family visiting Chester.

The Cheshire Military Museum tells the story of Cheshire Soldiers, dating all the way back to the 17th Century, and is a must-see on any historian's trip to Chester.

Excellent City Centre Apartment
Excellent, clean, comfortable and well stocked, city centre apartment, close to everything, really appreciated the extra touches in the kitchen. Katy the owner was available for any questions when we needed her. Italian restaurant opposite "La Fattoria" is great, worth booking. We had a very busy week with our two teenage children aged 13 and 15 visiting Chester Zoo one day and the Lovell Telescope near Manchester on another day. We drove the other direction in to Wales and climbed Snowdon, the penultimate day we visited Liverpool (worth booking secure parking! - museums very interesting) and went to Cinema at Ellesmere Port and the Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village on the way back. Chester is very central for all of these adventures. Having the apartment in the middle of town was first class as we could pop out for dinner in the evening and not have to worry about parking or driving. Shopping for the day in Chester was fun and a walk round the city wall is enjoyable. Final added bonus for me was the Sunday morning when we left, Chester was hosting the Deva Triathlon, as a keen runner and cyclist I have come away inspired to get swimming and give it a go another time! …

Chester Canal View
Just came back from a lovely weekend at Chester Canal View and it was fab, tidy size room with ensuite and a cute little kitchenette area with a breakfast basket which was filled with cereals, juice, cake bars, fruit etc Ken thought of everything, perfect host, sent loads of information about the surrounding areas which I also thought he made quite witty with his humour. Would definitely recommend Ken's place as it's only a 10 minute stroll along the wall which takes you into the centre with all the lovely old buildings and plenty of pubs along the canal. The vintage bus tour has been sold so we went on the open top bus and a ½ hour boat ride which was very nice. Thank you Ken we had a great time. Ceri and Gordon x …
