“Excellent in every respect - very pleased” Ideally situated apartment for a short or long visit to Cheshire. Very well appointed and maintained property which was quiet and comfortable. Excellent value for money in fact the best I have stayed in. The owner was very friendly and helpful. If I ever visit the area again I will not need to consider anywhere else to stay. Thank you very much.
“Absolutely Fabulous” What a beautiful, stylish and well equipped house! The location is superb, the city centre is literally round the corner. The booking process was easy and straightforward and we were given all the information we needed well in advance from Ian and Teresa (the owners). Miriam the house manager was brilliant - our arrival time kept moving due to traffic hold ups etc but she greeted us with a lovely warm smile and gave us the house tour. Can't recommend this place highly enough, it really was a pleasure from start to finish and we will most definitely be back. Thank you!
“Excellent” Perfect Property. Location, very central only a short walk to all the wonderful Chester sights. Property had all the facilities needed for a weeks stay for a family of 4. It was also extremely clean. We have stayed in many properties and this was one of the best.
“Quaint Cottage in a beautiful part of Cheshire” The cottage is a beautiful old style cottage with exposed beams and an "old world" appearance. It is furnished in the same style to give it that "old Country" look and feel. It has brilliant facilities - a modern kitchen and appliances, sitting and dining room and a lovely spacious bathroom. Also there was tea coffee in the kitchen and a tray of chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. Josephine was very accommodating and showed us round upon arrival. One aspect which might be of interest is the number of games, books and puzzles that are in the house if you had time and fancied doing something wit a group it was easy to pick up a quiz book or game. There is also WiFi provided as TV to watch if you have time. Tarvin itself is a lovely place and the cottage is within easy walking reach of everything in Tarvin. You do not have to travel far to be in the beautiful Cheshire Country side or to get to Chester, Ellesmere Port or even Liverpool or Manchester.
I would highly recommend this as excellent value for money and a good break.
“Lovely cottage” This is a lovely well thought out cottage with lots of little extras and very clean. The owners obviously take great pride in their cottages. The location is great for National Trust houses and walking on the canal. Will definitely be back.

“Just what it said on the tin.” Excellent flat located short walk to city centre. My wife and myself stayed a week in July and really enjoyed our stay in Chester. The flat was spotless and had everything you could want, the provisions on arrival were a great touch which meant you did not have to find a store straight away for essentials. Damage deposit returned straight away.
Hope to return next year.
“A home away from home - only better!” Woodfield Cottage is a lovely bungalow set in a beautiful rural setting next to a dairy farm. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I was delighted to find that the owner had left us with fresh farm eggs from her own chickens and a jug of fresh milk for our tea when we arrived. The garden is fenced securely so our dog could roam at will. It was very quiet and peaceful so we had a very relaxing stay. We will definitely be booking again next year.
“Beautiful location, and peaceful stay at lovely converted barn!” I would recommend this lovely converted barn for anyone looking for a peaceful get away to a rural location. The barn is situated on two acres which has been recently refurbished and the entrance is very 'Dallas' like with it's own electric gates! Close proximity to convenient stores, Chester and motorways make it ideal travelling by car.
Our stay was comfortable and spacious.
“Great location” We stayed here with our 2yr and 4yr olds children. The apartment was well equipped for everything we needed for keep them happy!
The location was great, less than 5 minutes walk to the city centre and only a 10 min drive to the zoo. Underground parking, with a lift up to the apartment was great so we could bundle the kids and all the stuff up!
Huge storage room with the boiler in, so great for drying out damp clothes and buggy, etc.
Owner was easily contactable and helpful too.
“HOME FROM HOME.” This little gem is tucked away in a treasure trove of well appointed amenities; in the quintessential village of Farndon, only eight miles from Chester.
Badgers End backs onto the river Dee, which we found so convenient for walking along the picturesque foot paths on the river bank. Also great hiking or steady strolling on the nearby
National Trust, Bickerton and Peckforton hills.
We found the accommodation five star, wanting for nothing.
The only fault - we could not stay longer!!!
“Just perfect” The location of this property is perfect, within minutes walking you are at the heart of beautiful Chester. The complex is very secure with key code gates at every entrance. The apartment itself is really impressive, furnished to a very high standard, fully equipped and spotlessly clean.
Correspondence and booking through Michael was very easy, even down to a text message to say that the apartment was ready prior to 4.30 as stated.
“Fantastic cottage, loved it!” Cottage furnished to an impeccable standard. Beautiful surroundings. Perfectly positioned to easily visit many places. Best days out - Liverpool via the Mersey Ferry from Seacombe and Chester Zoo.
“Winter city break” This accommodation is perfect for a city break in Chester. We enjoyed being that little bit away from the centre. The walk really was easy. The accommodation provided by Paul is homely, warm, clean and relaxing. Excellent. The eating places recommended were all of good value and a treat. We will return.

Quiet location, well equiped, friendly owners and close to local amenties and attractions
Great holiday. The property was in a quiet location and was equipped with everything you would need including fuel for the log burner. It was close to the town of Chester and Chester Zoo. Would definately visit property again as we didn't get a chance to see everything. Excellent property and friendly owners. …

Comfortable self catering period cottage
Just returned from a week in this cottage. Its very quaint and cosy. Lots of ornaments pictures and homely touches. Beds were comfortable but we found the bedrooms very warm due to the fabulous weather we had. Couldnt get the main bedroom window to open and didnt want to force it. Never had chance to meet the owner or felt the need to contact her. Towels were plentiful and fluffy white. The cottage is well equipt. Toy cupboard under stairs was full of boxed games and toys. Sat in the private courtyard garden on an evening which was lovely. All in all a great place but in my opinion would not recommend for very young children due to the ammount of expensive and possibly sentimental ornaments that are around. Great place to use as a base to visit the surrounding areas Chester Liverpool and North Wales. …

Chester Canal View
Chester and Ken ... where do we start regarding this accommodation? Ken was a great host! Nice room, not big but all we needed for our 5 days stay. Cozy kitchen, great bed, cozy bathroom. Ken went out of his way to make sure everything was right for us, even driving us to the Railway Station when it was raining and we were going to walk. A great host and if we travel to UK again, will book again. Spent every evening walking around the old stone wall. Such history under our feet! Please we visited were: Birkenhead to visit relations, then across the river to Liverpool. Port Sunlight on the way, this town was created for workers, similar to a town in Australia near to where we live now, which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore! Conway Castle, Anglesey, back through Snowdonia National Park ... what beautiful countryside! New Brighton to see the lighthouse, Liverpool to visit the Beatles Museem, as well as still walking the wall every night, what a tiring 5 days. Thanks Ken for all you did for us. …
