Pinfold Barn detached country cottage
We spent a lovely few days at Pinfold Barn, it was the perfect location for meeting with family in Staffordshire as well as friends in Manchester and Liverpool.
The barn was equipped with everything we could need, there was plenty of space but it was warm and cosy too. We travelled with 2 cocker spaniels who loved the outdoor space. Thank you. …

Beautiful thatched cottage in stunning setting.
What a beautiful house! Lots of space for 12 people and very nicely furnished including Aga.
Amazing views from all the back windows down over the rolling fields to the sea.
Girlie weekend for my big birthday so I got 1st choice of bedroom and chose the master bedroom which had a huge window with views of the sea but also a French window which went lead onto a balcony.
A shame we couldn’t have made more use of the outside tables and chairs and beautiful position of the house but the weather was awful whilst we were there.
Batter luck next time hopefully! …

4B Stanley Place
Amazing Anniversary stay
We wanted a place we could celebrate our wedding anniversary with a toddler in tow. Gone are the boutique hotel stays now, self catering and a place to relax once little one is asleep is a must. We still like to feel we are having a bit of luxury though and we certainly did here. The bedroom is gorgeous in a lovely spacious apartment and the little touches made it perfect. Biscuits and jam (homemade we assume?)and lovely coffee. We relaxed and wandered around the City -easy from the central location and enjoyed a thoroughly lovely stay. Would recommend to all our friends and family wanting a luxury stay in a wonderful City. …
Little Tin Chapel
From the moment we arrived until we left we had a brilliant time at the little tin chapel, absolutely everything you need for a relaxing break, you just turn up with clothes and food, everything else you need is provided for you. The accommodation has been very well thought out and is very comfortable, the bed was the best I have ever slept in when away from home. We found parking right outside for our stay each time we used the car. The correspondence with the owners was effortless and they even returned some medication that was accidentally left behind. Book a holiday at the little tin chapel and you will not be disappointed, we will be returning. …

Stylish cottage in heart of historic city centre
Absolutely fantastic location, with all amenities on the doorstep.
The location is fantastic, Tesco and Boots across the road, a taxi rank and bus terminal all within a five minute walk. Found a fabulous Italian restaurant in Hoole, called Made in Italy on Faulkner Sreet - can highly recommend if you wish to escape from the hustle bustle of the City centre. This cottage is in the heart of the City, but it
is very quiet and tucked away from all noise of a very busy City centre.
The cottage is well maintained and cosy. A welcome pack with the basics is provided in the cottage when you arrive. The kitchen is small, but functional. The bathroom and toilet are fairly new and were clean on arrival, but not spotless. The shower is very good. The beds have decent mattresses and the bedding and towels were clean and nicely laundered. The stairs to the first floor are however, very steep. All in all, a pleasant place to stay, and we considered it value for money. We will go back. …
Chester Canal View
Very good find close to Chester
We booked this last minute but we’re very glad we found such a gem. Ken was a great host and we had all we needed in our room. Canal View is only a 10 minute walk from Chester centre and the racecourse, and only 20 minutes walk (max) to the river so is very well-placed for everything without needing to use the car! Would recommend it and hope to return soon. …
Perfect start to a New Year
Staying at Swallows Barn with our daughter and son in law to see out 2018 and welcome 2019 was the best choice we could have made. The Cottage is beautiful, cosy, immaculate and spotless. We arrived just as daylight was fading and the cottage was lit and warm complete with xmas tree and decorations which was such a nice touch. Brenda was lovely and friendly and gave us some room in her own freezer ( we cooked all meals as we have mixed diet requirements) and the kitchen and equipment was perfect for self catering … we even made a full roast dinner.
The surrounding countryside has lots of walks within a short starting distance. Brenda recommended the climb to the top of The Cloud …. so pleased we did it as what a view.
There are absolutely no buts when it comes to Swallows Barn just when do we get to go back. Thank you and a Happy New Year to you and family Brenda. …
