“Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location” We rented Douglas Cottage for a girly weekend in January. It was perfect! Just a short walk from the station with parking (by permit) for a car outside it was easy to find and just a very short walk from the shops and the sights. The cottage itself was immaculate and beautifully presented. We really couldn't fault it. Each room was distinctive and imaginatively decorated with beautiful furnishings and antiques. The bathrooms were of the highest standard as was the kitchen (although the oven was so high tech it had us flummoxed a bit, although a quick read of the instructions solved that). There was a lovely little back yard although 3 inches of snow meant we didn't try it. Barbara and Andrew were really hospitable and had left us a lovely little welcome pack with bread, milk, coffee, tea, butter and a few goodies which was really kind of them. They were also kind enough to let us stay an extra couple of hours on the Sunday, although they won't always be able to do that if they have other guests coming in, it was really nice of them to accomodate this request. All in all we had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend this cottage.

“Lovely accommodation in an excellent location” The accommodation was well presented and beautifully clean. We were close to the city walls and could easily walk into the centre. Lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes on hand.

“Fabulous house and location*****” This is a lovely house very clean and beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything a family might need. Great to have off road parking. We had a fantastic time thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Chester is such a lovely city to visit. For guests who plan to use the bus service I would recommend a weekly ticket as it is pricey, the marketable car park is reasonably priced and easy to find if you drive. Thank you Amanda for allowing us to stay in your super house we would recommend it to anyone. Would have rated it five but for some reason page wouldn't let me!

“Wonderful tranquil cottage” We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Lovely and impeccably clean, well equippedand spacious, very high quality fittings and bedlinnen to die for. We all really loved it and any place to stay at during our holidays afterwards would lose out against this amazing cottage.

“Miss” Fantastic... Comes highly recommended! We stayed in the oak lodge for a week which was perfect. We arrived after 48hours travelling and felt instantly at home. The kids (ages 2 and 6!) were all over the show with jet lag but it didn't matter that were up at 3am having breakfast as there was no-one To disturb. Well equipped, comfy, light and spacious. Gorgeous views over the welsh hills and privacy. 5 min walk to local high street, pub, pharmacy, coffee shop. 15 mins into Wrexham or Chester with supermarkets. Would definitely stay again.
