“Perfect place in a great location” Just around the corner from the centre of Chester. This is a unique traditional house which has been lovingly decorated to a high standard and would be a delight for anyone looking for a perfect stay in Chester. The welcome hamper basket is a nice touch and the fact you can park with a residential pass is a real bonus. Thank you Barbara and Andy for a lovely stay. Would recommend.
“Chester Getaway” what a beautiful well equipped house, it was decorated to a very high standard, the bedrooms were very roomy with very comfortable beds. The en-suite had a small dressing room which was brilliant for getting ready in for a night out. The location was a stones throw away from the shops, bars and restaurants. I would recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Chester.
“Great place to stay in central Chester” I booked this property for a family stay for my daughters graduation. The property was ideal for the 6 people as we had our own bathrooms and my elderly mum could have a downstairs room. The house was furnished to a very high standard with everything new and clean. We really liked the location as it was central to everything. The booking was really easy and Melanie was really helpful letting us park the car there earlier in the day. Overall we had a superb time and I would certainly like to stay again!
“Great base to explore Chester” This is a lovely period property on a quiet street. The house is very clean, very comfortable, well-furnished and had everything we needed. Fantastic location, just a short walk along the canal into the city. Caroline is an excellent host, responding to questions very quickly prior to our stay. We had no issues at all during our stay. Also, the welcome basket with essentials and treats was a lovely touch. Parking was not a problem, we were able to park the car right outside the house. I will definitely stay again.
“cosy Victorian terraced cottage, convenient yet quiet location” I and my granddaughter spent a lovely week in this charming Victorian terraced cottage. The location was perfect for visiting all the sights of Chester, the Roman wall and gardens are just down the street. A 5 minutes' walk along the wall takes you into the centre of town and in the opposite direction even less to go down to the river where you can take a boat-ride, visit the Roman gardens , amphitheatre and go for a stroll round Grosvenor Park to see the squirrels. There are several restaurants nearby. and a handy Tesco express around the corner. After a busy day sight-seeing we were happy to relax at the well-equipped cottage .
“Amazing.....again!” This was our third visit to Driftwood Cottage. Sadly our final visit but only because we love Chester so much we are moving there!
We will walk past the cottage on our way to the City when we move and it will always be with much fondness.
I will always recommend this gorgeous bolthole to 'overflow' visitors.
Fab memories and a huge part of what promoted us to change our lives!
Thanks so much John and Elizabeth for your hospitality and your kindness.
“BEYOND EXPECTATION” Arrived late on a Sunday afternoon and was delighted to find some provisions to help us settle in until next morning. Very thoughtful! Apartment is extremely comfortable, well equipped and there was nothing we could want for. Walking distance to town centre and railway station. Well recommend to other travelers.
“Ideal” Lovely, clean house, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. Easy walking distance of the centre and also bus stops to venture further afield. We stayed with our toddler and Hayley very kindly supplied travel cot, high chair and safety gate which meant we didn’t have to bring those bulky things with us. Good communication beforehand too, especially with letting us know what there was to do around and about. We’re already planning our next visit!

Chester Canal View
Chester and Ken ... where do we start regarding this accommodation? Ken was a great host! Nice room, not big but all we needed for our 5 days stay. Cozy kitchen, great bed, cozy bathroom. Ken went out of his way to make sure everything was right for us, even driving us to the Railway Station when it was raining and we were going to walk. A great host and if we travel to UK again, will book again. Spent every evening walking around the old stone wall. Such history under our feet! Please we visited were: Birkenhead to visit relations, then across the river to Liverpool. Port Sunlight on the way, this town was created for workers, similar to a town in Australia near to where we live now, which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore! Conway Castle, Anglesey, back through Snowdonia National Park ... what beautiful countryside! New Brighton to see the lighthouse, Liverpool to visit the Beatles Museem, as well as still walking the wall every night, what a tiring 5 days. Thanks Ken for all you did for us. …
