From the owner

Penrose is a 4* inspected end terrace modern cottage, with on the ground floor:- a lounge-diner,with patio doors to a south facing enclosed garden, with patio furniture. The kitchen includes electric built in oven, and hob,dishwasher,fridge-freezer, microwave oven and washing machine. There is a ground floor bedroom, with a super king bed which can convert to 2 singles. There is a tv in this bedroom.Upstairs is a large bedroom with a kingsize bed and a bathroom with bath with shower over it. You are very near the 14th Century cottages, Napoleon Inn, and the South West coastpath and valley walks. The famous harbour and restaurants and shops and gift shops are about 10 minutes walk away.

Often used as a television or film location, including Doc Martin, Boscastle provides some of the most dramatic rugged coastline in Europe. Browse the antique and gift shops, the Craft Centre, the Witch's Museum, or eat out in one of the restaurants or three Pubs. Much of the harbour, the coastline and the Valency Valley are managed by the National Trust, and are designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

It is only an hour's drive from the M5 at Exeter, and is perfectly positioned for walking along the South West Coast Path and visiting the picturesque villages of the area including Tintagel and its castle ruins. There are plenty of sandy surfing beaches nearby where you can get surfing and kayaking tuition if you are feeling energetic! Alternatively, try hiking across Bodmin Moor, cycling the Camel Trail, horse riding, golf, rock climbing or sailing.

This is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of Cornwall, Dartmoor, and North Devon. Attractions to visit include: The Eden Project; Lanhydrock House; St Ives with the Tate Gallery (Tate St Ives) and numerous Cornish gardens to name just a few.

At any time of the year this is an ideal place for a holiday. In springtime you can enjoy the snowdrops, primroses, and bluebells in the woodlands and hedgerows; in the summer, laze on the beach and during the winter marvel at the magnificent sight of the Atlantic waves breaking whilst enjoying an invigorating walk before a drink or meal in front of the log fire, in one of the friendly local inns.

Weekly bookings commence on a Friday, May-end September, except week Saturday July 9-16..

It is only a ten to fifteen minute walk from the harbour and pubs and eating places but quite a trek back up the hill to Penrose. Lovely places to visit only a short distance away.
