“Beautiful little cottage” I stayed with my wife and daughter while we visited Chester. It was a beautiful little cottage, with everything we needed and close to the city centre. Definitely stay again. Many thanks.

The Tack Room
Absolutely beautiful holiday cottage

We have just returned from a beautiful stay at this amazing cottage. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and this place was perfect for us. Claire the owner has been brilliant from beginning to end. She is very fast at responding and very kind and accommodating. The house itself has the total wow factor. Every room is pristine...and the beds are so comfortable. All the little touches Claire has in the house make it so cosy and home from home. It is so clean and tidy and fully equipped. We had busy days out at the zoo, the aquarium, Chester Town and the ice cream farm and it was so so nice knowing we were heading back to our beautiful holiday house to relax, have some nice food and enjoy every minute of our break away. It really has been such a lovely break away and we are already looking to return. Also the transport to Chester Town is fantastic be it bus or taxi. Such a great find. Thank you Claire for making our stay so lovely we cannot wait to return :)see more
Beautiful Parkgate Cottage with Views of the Dee Estuary
Hidden Gem

Absolutely fantastic cottage on the Parade in Parkgate. Great views of the river Dee. Very homely, with everything you need to have a relaxing break. Downstairs living area spacious with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Gas fire and central heating kept us warm as it was very cold. Four pubs / bars in walking distance, plus a chinese, indian, chippy and the best ice cream shop. Libby was very responsive and looked after us throughout our stay. We will return, it is a gem of a property and location and far bigger that it looks!!see more

Idyllic Victorian Cottage Open Fire, Hot Tub, Sleeps 8, City 5 mins, Zoo 15 mins
Brilliant stay!

The house is decorated so beautifully and is immaculate. Thank you Andy for being on hand with recommendations and during the stay checking in to see if we needed anything. Location is brilliant and no issue getting Ubers etc. Everything we could have needed was available and the little touches of cotton pads, milk in the fridge etc were lovely. It is clear to see how well looked after this property is and we were all in love with the cosy yet modern feel of the house. Absolutely brilliant stay and we’ve already began discussing returning in the future!see more
Douglas Cottage
60th birthday celebrations

My 3 friends and I received a very warm welcome from Barbara and Andrew when we arrived. They showed us around their beautiful cottage and gave us a quick run down of where things were and how they worked. Douglas Cottage is absolutely beautiful, spotlessy clean and very well equipped. The cottage is also really central, making it easy to walk to the local bars, shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend Douglas Cottage to family and friends see more
Driftwood a cosy cottage on the river Dee
Super cosy and convenient!

This cottage is brilliantly placed for the city centre (just 5 mins walk) and the walk round the city walls ( 2 miles but if you take it easy and read all the signage, it'll take over an hour and probably more). It was fascinating to see the tidal River Dee rising and falling from the sitting room and bedroom windows with the abundant wildlife on display: swans, ducks, moorhen, coots and heron. The cottage itself is fully equipped and comfortable and had the extra touch of a bottle of wine, breakfast cereals, choc bars and milk. Very thoughtful. We slept really well too. Although there isn't any continuous parking next to the cottage (30 mins only 7 days a week), there is the very convenient Grosvenor car park just up the road provided you ask the landlord's permission. At this time of year the trees drop a lot of resinous sap so be prepared to wipe your windows!see more
