Elm Cottage is ideally located for visiting Alton Towers and the Peak District. Alton Towers is only 6 miles away and the Peak District Boundary less than a mile.Elm Cottage is a very spacious 3 bedroom barn conversion. It sleeps 10 people comfortably in 3 bedrooms. There is a double bedroom, a twin room and a family room with twin beds and two sets of bunks (ideal for the children). The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need

.The cottage sits in a picturesque courtyard adjacent to our other 3 cottages. French windows lead to a patio at the rear with stunning views. The cottages are in a secluded spot down a long drive off the A523 so very easy to find. There are spectacular views from the cottage windows. The courtyard is a suntrap and popular for barbeques on a Summer evening. We also have a children's play area including a trampoline where parents can sit and relax while the children burn themselves out! We have barbeques available for our guests to use.

The Broadhurst Bunnies are also popular. Children love to play with and cuddle Hugo, Evie and Hinata. They can also make friends with our many ponies.We are dog owners ourselves and welcome well behaved dogs at a nominal charge of £10 per dog. We have a field set aside for dog exercise and there are many walks from the doorstep. We can also provide stabling and grazing for guests' horses. There are many bridlepaths in the area and the lanes are very quiet for safe hacking.For cyclists, the Manifold Trail (Britain's first cycle trail) is less than a mile down the road. There are two cycle hire centres and we have a lockable shed for safe bike storage.We are also popular with walkers having a huge network of footpaths in the area. The beautiful Dovedale is also close by.

For children, apart from Alton Towers, Gulliver's Kingdom, Waterworld, Chatsworth, Carsington Water and Sudbury Hall Museum of Childhood are not far away.There are several local pubs close by serving delicious food and an excellent Indian restaurant. The picturesque market towns of Ashbourne and Leek have many bars and restaurants if you want to travel a little further for an evening out. We can provide a baby or dog sitting service for that well earned break. Elm Cottage has been awarded *** by Visitengland.We can also supply a hot tub at a cost starting at £70 for two nights to £120 for a week. What better way to relax and enjoy the spectacular views.

How do damage deposits work?

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
