Description from owner


Tucked away in a peaceful courtyard, Number 3 Wesley Flats is located right in the heart of St Ives. Located on the ground and first floor of a tall white cottage, the private entrance leads to the open-plan kitchen/living area with a refurbished bathroom (full bath and shower) off to the side. The first floor is reached via a spiral staircase which leads to a bright spacious bedroom. I am sorry but the property isn't suitable for a baby or children.

Outside, the raised paved/planted area right in front of the cottage is for the sole use of the guests. It's not completely private as there is a pathway that neighbours access nearby but there is seating there, amongst the lovely coastal plants and succulents, with a slatted fence for some degree of privacy.

The harbour, beaches, galleries, shops, restaurants and cultural points of interest such as the Tate and Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden are all within easy reach.

We provide bed linens plus tea towels and a bath mat, but please bring your own towels. We are championing a Cornish company called St Kitts Herbery - our guests can enjoy a small gift set of their hair & bath products.

Parking: new this summer is a lock up private garage available for guests to use. It's up the hill near the St Ives Rugby club (19 minute walk) and there are also numerous St Ives car parks nearby (closest is 4 min walk from property).

Clean. Bright. Cosy. Central. Quiet courtyard setting. Perfect bolthole with high speed wifi.

“Lovely little cottage”

My hubby and I had a great time in lovely St Ives-weather excellent and the cottage was ideally placed to walk everywhere. The cottage was bright and very comfortable and ideal if just the two of you. We had everything we needed, the kitchen is well-equipped if you do want to cook and the bathroom is great. The bedroom is spacious with a very comfy bed. Clean with little extra touches like basics there for you such as tea and sugar, candles and lovely white bed linen. Full wifi and Sky TV make it a home from home. A great 5 day stay for us, didn't want to go home.

“Lovely place and excellent location”

We have stayed at this gem of a cottage several times now since finding it for our honeymoon in 2013. Its a great place. Compact yet fully equipped and decorated to a high standard. We have cooked here plenty of times including full Christmas day dinner, it has everything you need. Its really warm and cosy, even in the winter with its gas fired boiler that gets it warm in minutes. Drive to St Ives, unload at the cottage , put the car "away" for the week at the car park (just up the hill on Park Lane), walk back to the cottage and relax. You are two minutes stroll away from the beautiful harbour, restaurants, shops, pubs and bars. Five stars.

“Beautiful Cottage”

I have stayed in this small cottage a couple of times. Suitable for a couple. It's lovely cosy, it has a nice character. It's very close to the beach and the shops, a walking distance to the train station. I would be happy to come back again.

“Great place to stay”

We had a lovely stay in this little cottage. It is very clean and convenient to all amenities. Great shower in bathroom and kitchen well equipped. Very comfy bed which was good after a day of walking around beautiful St Ives. We parked behind the cottage and paid for a weeks stay which gave us covered parking and our own parking space. Would definitely recommend.

“Quaint little flat minutes from everything.”

Just had a short break in this lovely little flat. Perfect location. Well equipped for selfcatering perfect for single people or couple not those with toddlers or infirm due to spiral narrow staircase. Shower fab On the whole very clean although front room rug grubby (possibly not best colour when pets are welcome)and smelt of pets plus fridge had few spillages on door. . Didnt stop me enjoying this little place though or want to return.i couldnt quite work out which area was garden as overgrown and someone letting dog out there without cleaning up etc but didnt need it so didnt worry me. Bed linen v clean and bed comfy. Be prepared for seagulls alarm call! Hope to return!

What an amazing weekend! St Ives is so beautiful and this little cottage/flat was a home-from-home, somewhere lovely to come back to and relax after wonderful days exploring the gorgeous local area. Although small, this lovely holiday home has everything you could ever need, it's clean and comfortable, the shower was great and it's very well decorated. A real gem hidden away in the higldy-pigldy streets of St Ives. It's less than 5 mins walk to the harbour and some of the best restaurants we could have hoped for! The stairs are a little tight (although this is the best use of the space) and the mattress was a little hard for our taste but neither of these have put us off wanting to return again next year!! What an amazing weekend!! Thank you!!

“Cute and compact with everything you could possibly need”

Very easy to book and really easy to find. This cottage is right in the centre on St Ives which makes it ideal. My partner and I got the train to St Ives and the cottage was in easy walking distance. The cottage looked really cute from the outside and the inside did not disappoint - the kitchen was well equiped, the bathroom was lovely and the living room was cosy. There is narrow spiral staircase to the bedroom but this was not a problem at all (my partner is over 6 foot so I was concerned he might bump his head before we went but this was not an issue in the slightest). The bedroom was a lovely size and the bed was very comfy. All in all we had a great weekend away and I would thoroughly reccommend this cottage to anyone - great location and great value for money. It is a perfect size for 2 people.

“Annual trip never fails to please”

We look forward to our holiday in St Ives every year and were delighted to find this little place about 4 years ago. It's quirky and there is something new each year as the owners develop the place, it is tastefully done and we are booked for next year again already. Beautiful relaxed place and this year we had the weather better than the Med! Thanks.

“Quaint well located 'home from home'.”

Ideally situated cottage away from the main street but in easy strolling distance of the shops and harbour. Peaceful and residential area with no traffic noise was a nice surprise. The cottage is bright and cosy and well decorated and equipped. Access to all amenities and facilities is easy practically level walk (little slope). The shower is better than the one we have at home, nice to have a bath too. I shall share this little secret with my friends and sure to be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

“Cosy Cottage in St Ives Centre”

We stayed for 3 days at this cottage and overall we had a good time. The property is detached, but closely hemmed in by neighbouring houses and apartments and one sometimes felt slightly claustrophobic. The outside seating area is very much on public view. The bedroom is reached by a steep spiral staircase that would be impossible for less agile folks - and not recommended for speedy trips to the downstairs bathroom in the middle of the night! Nevertheless we had a nice stay - though, thank goodness, we didn't have any neighbours in the separate upstairs apartment. That would have been a nightmare given the thin walls and close proximity of the two apartments. There was no radio, no internet and the kitchen equipment was very basic: we even had to purchase two wine glasses - which we left as a present for the next visitors.

How do damage deposits work?
