Location description from owner

The England region

West Cornwall is a wonderful place to take a holiday. The landscape offers, wonderful white sandy beaches, rocky coves, steep cliffs, and rugged moorland. The region has something to offer all. Relaxing on beaches, visiting galleries, shopping at interesting independent retailers, walking the stunning coastal path and for those who like a challenge, there is surfing, cycling, sailing, riding, golf.

Some of the many attractions include:
The Minack Theatre, Cornwall’s theatre under the stars, was carved out of the rock in the 1920’s by Rowena Cade. Visit the Minack Theatre website for further details of the theatre and performances.
St Ives has lovely sandy beaches ideal for surfing. Other fine surfing beaches in the West Penwith area of Cornwall include Sennen Cove and Gwithian Sands, whilst the beach at Marazion is ideal for wind and kite surfing.
Visit the spectacular St Michael’s Mount, an island twice a day, and reached by a causeway from Marazion when the tide is out.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan were re-discovered in 1990 after 75 years of neglect. The estate has now been brought back to life to excite a new generation.
The Eden Project is a global garden the size of thirty football pitches nestling in huge biomes in an old china clay pit overlooking St Austell Bay.
Trengwaignton Gardens where tender and exotic trees and shrubs flourish in a sheltered and virtually frost–free garden. Walk through walled gardens with sloping beds, and along a path that winds along by a stream and pond gardens, wnding up on a terrace with fine views across Mount’s Bay to the Lizard

Porthmeor

St Ives is located about six miles to the north of Penzance and is set set in the stunning scenery of West Cornwall on the shores of St Ives Bay, facing the Atlantic Ocean.

It is one of the most colourful, quaint and attractive towns in Cornwall with numerous granite cottages, small cobbled streets, and narrow alleyways all surrounding a sheltered harbour.

St Ives offers great sandy beaches for relaxing and surfing, a world renowned art colony plus galleries to browse, bars to relax in and cafés & restaurants to suit every taste and pocket for eating out, offering quality for a wide range of visitors.

Artists have been attracted to St Ives by the quality of light and the outstanding scenic setting, and have given the town a great deal of its unique character. As well as the Tate St Ives, there are scores of smaller galleries or artists' studios open to the public.
