The dining room has an original slate floor and a pine dining table that seats six people. A highchair is also available.

With a double and two twin bedrooms, Cobble House can comfortably sleep six people. The first floor accommodates a large double room with a king size (5') bed and en-suite shower room. There is also a recently fitted family bathroom.
The second floor has two twin bedrooms, each with pretty dormer windows. The bedrooms are all furnished in a simple style with a bright seaside feel. From the front bedroom there are lovely views over the Camel Estuary. It should be noted the staircase to the second floor is steep and narrow. At the top of the stairs there are child safety gates on each door to the bedrooms but care must still be taken with small children or with elderly or infirm guests.
All three rooms can also accommodate a cot which is available at the house.

Further details indoors

Duvets, pillows and bedding are provided along with towels (please bring your own beach towels).

Further details outdoors

To the front there is a small courtyard garden with a seating area (with a cobbled path that gives its name to Cobble House).

At the side of the house, there are very steep slate steps which lead to the rear garden (please take care with small children or with elderly or infirm guests). The back garden has a secluded private patio area enjoying views over the harbour and out towards the Camel Estuary. The patio catches the sun for much of the day and is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. The patio leads to the main garden, with a sloping lawn, which is shared with the neighbouring house. The lawn has a children's climbing frame which includes a slide, swings and covered deck.

Location description from owner

The England region

Padstow is situated in North Cornwall and one of the area's main attractions is the stunning coastal scenery and abundance of beautiful sandy beaches. There are many attractions within easy driving distance of Padstow for a day out, including the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Michaels Mount, Tintagel Castle and Llanhydrock. Along the coast are many seaside towns and fishing villages worth visiting – Port Isaac (home of Doc Martin), St Ives and the Tate Gallery, Charlestown, Fowey and St Mawes – to name just a few.

Padstow

Cobble House is situated in the heart of Padstow, on the North Cornwall coast. The House is located on a small courtyard, set back a few steps from the road, just a minute's walk from the harbour and surrounded by the bustling shops and restaurants of this charming seaside town.

Whatever the time of year, there is so much to do and so many places to explore in Padstow and throughout North Cornwall . As well as a working fishing port, Padstow is a vibrant and busy small seaside town with a picturesque harbour and many interesting shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.

Boat trips leave from the harbour and the ferry takes you over the River Camel to the beautiful sailing resort of Rock. The stunning beaches of the Camel estuary are a short walk from the town. From Padstow, you can hire a bike for the day and cycle along the Camel Trail to Wadebridge or Bodmin. Or come in May and see the famous Padstow 'Obby Oss' May Day celebrations where the town is decked with flags and flowers.

North Cornwall is simply heaven for food lovers. Rick Stein's renowned Seafood Restaurant is positioned on the quayside in Padstow. Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 is one of the highest rated restaurants in Padstow. He also owns Rojanos Italian restaurant, right next door to Cobble House. Just over the Camel Estuary in Rock, and accessible by Water Taxi from Padstow, is Nathan Outlaw's double Michelin Star restaurant at the St Enodoc Hotel. Just up the coast is The Scarlet at Mawgan Porth, headed up by Michelin award winning chef Ben Tunnicliffe. Also nearby is Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant at Watergate Bay. There are numerous other restaurants and excellent pubs in Padstow and the surrounding area.

“central location”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2012

Nice house, central for everything. Next door to rojanno's(which is is over-rated) and which can be a little noisy if you want an early night(not rowdy, just raised voices and chairs moving), but did not bother us. House had everthing you need, power shower was great and bed was so comfortable. Did not use garden as we were on the beach most days. Rick Steins cafe is well worth a visit and reasonably priced. Padstow beach is a bit of a trek, Harlyn Bay, which is a wide golden sand beach is about 5 minute drive but can park close to beach.
