An absolutely delightful cottage, set in the hamlet of Ravensdale, near Tideswell and can sleep two people in one bedroom. 73 Ravensdale Cottage is absolutely delightful, set in the hamlet of Ravensdale on the outskirts of Cressbrook, near Tideswell and can sleep two people. The cottage has a double bedroom with a Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for one car and rear, split-level patio with furniture, a barbecue and an external WC. 73 Ravensdale Cottage is a wonderful holiday base.

Amenities: Solid fuel heating provided by the owners next door (guests have individually controlled radiators in the cottage) with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with FreeSat (one Smart TV), DVD, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car.

Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Rear garden has 6 steps and there are 3 original stone steps to access the cottage from the front. Note: The stairs to the first floor are steep and narrow, with a twist at the bottom, making the lower treads triangular in shape. There is a hand rail, but care does need to be taken when going up and down the stairs. Note: Check-in 4pm.

Region: The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers and wooded dales.

Town: Cressbrook is a village on the River Wye, home to a mill built in the 18th century by Richard Arkwright. A footpath upstream of Cressbrook Mill leads to Water-cum-Jolly, a river gorge with limestone cliffs ideal for walking and rock climbing. Cressbrook is on the Monsal Cycle Trail and there is also a good pub in the nearby village of Litton, which serves food. Tideswell, Bakewell and the Spa town of Buxton are all within easy reach.
