A large townhouse in the heart of Falmouth full of character and charm. 10mins walk you're on the bustling quayside with restaurants,shops,pubs,art galleries. The house is set in lovely private gardens with subtropical plants. A lane to the side of the house leads you to Swanpool beach just 15-20mins walk away - great for a quick swim before breakfast or lunch at the beach cafe!
The property has plenty of parking. A lovely secluded south facing garden with lots of bamboo and lovely plants with sunny south facing decking and BBQ.
The house sleeps 12 people in 6 stylish bedrooms. A ground floor family bathroom and double for guests with mobility problems. A comfortable lounge with woodburning stove, a large dining room with original stripped floorboards, a piano & doors leading out onto the upper decking and into the garden. A big kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave & another dining table. Decking offers sun into the evening which is perfect for BBQ's, eating & drinking al-fresco. Steps from upper to lower decking may be tricky for young children. There is a wooden glass house for alfresco dining on cooler evenings.
Bed linen is included in the rental price. Bath/hand towels are included. Beach towels are not.. Cornish arrival/breakfast hampers, champagne, flowers etc...can be pre-arranged - please contact the owner. Dogs welcome, but certain conditions apply.We charge £25 per dog per stay. Please note there are no stair gates on stairs, there's an open wood burning stove so may not be suitable for toddlers.

Each bedroom has an individual feel and design with lovely fabrics - one double en-suite room has French antique furniture. The large kingsize double room has beautiful chunky Indian Mangowood furniture. All the rooms are unique, you will see our more photo's and details from website sixteenfalmouth. Cornish cream teas or pasties on arrival can to arrange by request. 6 bedrooms - 4 double bedroom (2 of which are en-suite), 1 twin room & 1 room with bunk beds. There is 1 travel cot

“Fabulous house for our large family holiday”
What a stunning house. Exceptionally clean, everything we could have needed was provided. 6 adults+6 kids (15y -5y), 3 generations, we were never treading on toes, the house was perfect for us. The extras left for us were a very nice unexpected touch.

“Beautiful spacious house in a great location!!”
Beautiful house, in a great location. Walking distance to the town centre and beaches! Lovely large house with plenty of space, there was six of us with a bedroom each! Immaculately clean and a lovely welcome hamper with fresh bread and a fridge full of goodies! Can't recomend this house enough! Sharon the host was very helpful from initial booking, through to arrival, check out and returned the security deposit straight away. Perfect house for friends or families wanting to visit Cornwall!
We were really impressed with the house itself. It had been recently refurbished and was beautifully decorated and very comfortable creating a real home from home feel. We were 8 adults and 3 children staying for a perfect heat wave week in Falmouth and found the property to be perfectly situated between the beaches and the harbour etc. The beautiful gardens with tropical planting, BBQ and glasshouse room were a perfect way to relax in the heat in the days and evenings. We especially enjoyed the amount of space with large lounge, dining and kitchen spaces it made 11 people in one house very manageable. Sharon (owner) was really helpful and attentive with advice or just checking in etc. We would definitely consider renting again after our experience this time.
“The most beautiful and best equipped self catering property we have ever stayed in”
We stayed for 5 nights with our extended family including family members from Vancouver Island, British Columbia and from the minute we stepped into the house we knew we would have a wonderful time. It was lovely to have fresh home made bread and milk, wine & biscuits and a fabulous plate of prawns in the freezer to greet us when we arrived. The house and gardens are beautiful and there is everything you could possibly want from the large fully fitted kitchen to the beautifully appointed bedrooms with lots of bathrooms. We celebrated Christmas whilst we were there, (a tradition that always takes place when we are together with our Canadian relatives) and it was a joy to cook on the fantastic range cooker, room to prepare everything and all the utensils you could want. The house is very convenient to get into the centre of Falmouth and for most people an easy walk down, slightly more challenging coming back as it is uphill but we found no problem and Falmouth has a great choice of eating places. We would recommend No.16 to anyone and especially those looking for a family house to accommodate a large party, the rooms all large and most have their own TV so everyone can have their own space. We would love to return for another stay in this beautiful but homely house and thank Sharon for all her help when booking and the lovely touches that made us feel so welcome.

Our hostess had thought of everything to make us welcome - not one but two Christmas trees, decorated, and the whole house very tastefully Christmassey. There were very generous welcome gifts on the dining table and in the kitchen when we arrived. The rooms were very comfortable, and our hostess could not have been more welcoming or kinder. We would thoroughly recommend renting this property not just for Christmas but anytime. It is in a wonderful location, with two super beaches very close by, and all the town has to offer very close too.
“Excellent home from home”
We stayed at NO16 for 7 nights form 16th August 14. Fantastic communication with Sharon. On arrival the house was beautiful. There was 10 of us in our group as we were having a family get together for the week. There was welcome treats, cream tea with clotted cream in the dining room with red wine and shortbread biscuits, in the kitchen treat of white wine. There was everything you could need in the kitchen for self catering from a mixer to bake cakes to serving dishes more than ample enough crockery and cutlery. We loved the snug mugs and will be buying some ourselves. The kitchen was immaculately clean with flowers on the table. The cooker is a very good size with lots of pans and cooking trays etc. we loved all the lighting in the house which felt very cosy with dimmer lights and different types of fairy lights. Everything has been thought of even down to the music system in the dining room, books to read around the house and a piano. Every room has a television which we all enjoyed having as then being able to play the radio in our rooms. The lounge is large with enough room for us all to sit. Magazines etc in there too. Bedrooms are all to a high standard, all the doubles were a large size and the twin room smaller all very clean. All bathrooms are very clean and had lovely soft white fluffy towels. There are 2 en suite bathrooms to the double rooms at the back of the house and the double room with the twin room shares a good size bathroom. The downstairs bathroom is large and is the one that has a bath. The garden is beautiful and decking leads to it from the dining room if a person struggles with mobility you can still get to the garden by going out the front door and round the side of the house. Parking is a little tight we had 3 cars and felt if there was a fourth it would have been awkward but there is parking on the road also. Overall we all enjoyed staying at the house age range from 12 to 64 years old, plus 1 dog. Would like to thank Sharon for going the extra mile. We will be back! We had meals at Prezzo in Falmouth town centre and in Warehouse lovely food and service in here. Swanpool beach is very clean and the crazy golf and kayaking was good. Out of Falmouth towards Hayle Coast to Coast go karting reasonable and a lot of fun and horse riding. NO16 is a beautiful. well equipped, clean, comfortable, home from home for a holiday. With amenities in walking distance to town and a short drive to the Supermarkets. JS
“Comfy, elegant, spacious, well-equipped, & helpful and caring owner”
9 of us (aged 2 to 60), plus one little dog, stayed for a week in the property to explore Falmouth and its surroundings. Upon arrival the house was immaculate and so well cared for with gorgeous details e.g. lots of lovely artwork/ soft furnishings all around. There are even some games and great young children's books in the house! Also loads of books for the adults to read e.g. cookery / Cornish tales which adds a lovely touch. Bedrooms are spacious and beautifully finished, and nearly all with flawless, modern en-suites. Views from 2 of the upstairs doubles are beautiful. Bedrooms are also really spread out. From the downstairs bedroom you can't really hear anything upstairs, and upstairs ones are separated via corridor which was quite nice, so for us, we had different families in different sections which worked well. A travel cot was provided for us. The owner also left us some welcome 'gifts' in the fridge and around e.g. shortbread, wine, milk etc... , making you feel very welcomed and at home. It's easy to find, off a main road through Falmouth. We had 3 cars parking on the drive some of the time, although it's a bit tricky to squeeze them all in position if so, but we did it! Just a couple of mins drive down to Falmouth's main beaches and the town / harbour, where the quay has a selection of cafes, bakeries and restaurants :-) A useful folder was provided with all we needed to know about locking, bin collection, restaurants nearby, attractions, beaches, useful contacts/facilities etc. which we used a lot too. The garden was lovely although we didn't get time / the best weather to sit out in the evenings and enjoy it enough... needed another week! The washing line came in handy. So all in all, you can't fault the property for facilities, comfort, appearance/condition, size and homeliness.

This large and superbly well equipped house suited our party of 10 (including two toddlers) perfectly. There is plenty of space and the house is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Of the five double bedrooms three are en-suite and there is a large bathroom on the ground floor. The dining room (with piano!) seats 10 comfortably and opens onto steps to a large, attractive and well-maintained garden which provides a warm, sheltered spot for barbeques in the evening and for the children to run around in. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary for self catering. We were lucky with the weather and were able to make the most of the local area. The town and harbour is a 15 minute walk away (although there is an uphill climb on the way back) and Falmouth has a wide range of good restaurants, bars and shops and is full of character. Don't miss Rick Stein's take-away fish and chips! The Maritime Museum is good value and child-friendly. Falmouth has some good beaches which you can walk to in 15 to 20 minutes from 16 Western Terrace as well. A great location all round. We made day trips to Porthtowan for the surfing, to Newquay (eating at Jamie Oliver's 15) and St Ives, all about 45 minutes' drive. Holidays are all about the people you are with and the memories you create but starting off with a perfect house like this makes everything else easy!
“Luxury home from home”
No 16 more than lived up to our expectations, it was immaculately clean and very well equipped, with some lovely added extras by the owners on our arrival. The house is situated 20 minutes walk from Swanpool beach and Falmouth town centre, add a few minutes to this on the walk home as it is up hill. The house has plenty of off street parking and secluded gardens. The lack of wardrobe space in some rooms, and the busy main road at the front of the house are the only negatives. We would definitely stay here again - we not only loved the house but Falmouth too. We found the owners very helpful, friendly and approachable - a lovely holiday!
“Fantastic home for a family holiday”
No 16 is a lovely house and is ideal for a holiday with extended family. Sharon made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. The house is perfect for either walking into Falmouth or to the beaches. There is plenty of room so you don't feel as though you are on top of each other, We couldn't have asked for a better home for the week.
