The Loft is a striking and charming property, full of character. With two double bedrooms it is ideal for up to four guests. The wood burning stove in the lounge is a great place to unwind after a day exploring the many delights of the East Neuk. Sit back and watch the sea below, you'll be mesmerised by the sounds of the waves rolling in or enjoy the fabulous vistas from the tiered garden. With a well equipped kitchen, dining area, family bathroom and WC, The Loft is a hidden gem.

The Loft is accessed through a private lane (stairs) and has a quirky and endearing layout. Both bedrooms, the bathroom and WC are on the entry level, with the dining kitchen and lounge on the upper level. With all windows sea facing, there are wonderful views to enjoy from both bedrooms and the lounge. Sitting on a hill just one street back from the shore, The Loft has a prime position yet is secluded and quiet.

The Coastal Path can be reached within a moment's walk and there is no shortage of things to see and do in the East Neuk and surrounding areas. From golf to watersports, fish and chips to a plethora of fresh local produce within many quality restaurants you'll be wishing you had more time to explore this excellent location.

The loft has wonderful views, and is well situated as a base to explore the lovely coast, with it's beautiful villages.

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the area From the direct message sent by email in response to our follow up email for feedback after your stay you also stated that the property was clean and comfortable and despite a few minor issues which you didn't report during your stay (a bulb needing replaced, a sink plug becoming stuck) you would certainly return. We replied to this email thanking you for your feedback and advising that had we been alerted to the issues during your stay we could have addressed them. Your review here and on a different platform are quite in contrast to your direct feedback, as a result of you being of the opinion that we did not respond appropriately to your email. This has made for very interesting reading. Having hosted your friend many times before (who I believe you were travelling with) we are very surprised by your comments as she has continued to book stays with us. Prior to arrival you were of the opinion that you should not have to pay a security deposit because you had a friend who had booked with us previously and we had several conversations around this which you were obviously unhappy about. As part of the COVID cleaning procedures, properties are ventilated between guests. Despite having our contact details you did not advise that you were unable to close the living room window until the day after arrival. The sash and case windows are common in this area and due to planning regulations must be of that style. When you did call us about the window it was attended to within 15 minutes and closed easily. Your tone in this review and your 'demands' for compensation for the DVD player-which you agree was working- are indicative of the way that you spoke to our staff before and during your stay and the entitled manner in which you conducted yourself. There are many other points in your 'review' that we could challenge and compare with the very many satisfied and happy guests who have stayed at this property or any of the others that we manage and who continue to return time after time but it's unlikely to make much difference to your opinion.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
