“Fantastic property and great hosts” We have just returned from a weeks stay at The Shippen and had a wonderful relaxing stay. The conversion has been done to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need, underfloor heating is complemented with a wood burner and kindling and logs supplied. We were very impressed with the welcome hamper and found the super king sized bed so comfortable. Karen and Jeff were very welcoming nothing is too much trouble for them, we will definitely be recommending The Shippen to our friends and family.

“Perfect little place!” My partner and I stayed here with another couple for two nights so we were cloe to York but not in the centre. The barn conversion is beautiful, with no expense spared on added extras like the jucuzzi bath. The two bedrooms aren’t completely closed off but we were made aware of this beforehand and it didn’t bother us. The hot tub was brilliant, the kitchen had everything needed and the rooms were a great size for what you need. The only thing that would be handy is somewhere to dry your swimwear and towels, like an airer or something. The under floor heating is great, but it does mean there’s nowhere really to dry things. Other than that, it’s spot on!

“Amazing!” Exceptional beautiful house. Excellent party house for a few friends. Very kind of the owner to leave us 2 bottles of wine. The views from the back of house are amazing. Everything was perfect and very clean. We were so lucky with the weather too. Definition would stay again.

“The Loft. YORK” Superb accommodation, ideally situated in York city centre. Sharon was always available to answer any enquiries related to our stay. We all had a great week end and will definitely recommend this apartment as a first class place to stay. Everything was easy to get to, from sight seeing, stroll along the river, restraunts/entertainment and shopping. A 10 out of 10 break
