“Superb Weekend” What a find this place was. Very private and the peace and quiet is quality. I visited here with 5 fiends for a small break. The lodge is set at the back of a farm and has lovely surroundings and an excellent hot tub around the back. The lodge was really clean and very well presented. We are already looking to book up again for next year.

“Perfect little place!” My partner and I stayed here with another couple for two nights so we were cloe to York but not in the centre. The barn conversion is beautiful, with no expense spared on added extras like the jucuzzi bath. The two bedrooms aren’t completely closed off but we were made aware of this beforehand and it didn’t bother us. The hot tub was brilliant, the kitchen had everything needed and the rooms were a great size for what you need. The only thing that would be handy is somewhere to dry your swimwear and towels, like an airer or something. The under floor heating is great, but it does mean there’s nowhere really to dry things. Other than that, it’s spot on!

“Good weekend break” A very good place to go for a break away. Hot tub was excellent. Cottage was lovely and the owners are very welcoming. Bacon butties are worth the visit alone. Cheers will be back Matt and Nikki

“Secluded, picturesque, perfect and with a hot tub!” At the time of writing this we have already booked our second visit, and a weekend for our son. Joanna, our host, was lovely and friendly and provided us with a 'breakfast basket' plus a cake for my husband's birthday. It was the perfect place to unwind away from the stresses of everyday life before a hectic Christmas. It's definitely a place for wellies if it's been wet, but it didn't stop us using the hot tub and the fire pit. It was very romantic sat around the fire wrapped in blankets, sipping wine and watching the stars.

“Fabulous 60th birthday celebrations at Hawthorn Cottage” Booked Hawthorne Cottage for my 60th birthday with family.The cottage is beautiful in a fantastic location and catered for all our needs.Michelle met us on arrival and was very helpful and informative.Lovely garden and walks close by. Would highly recommend this for a relaxing break.

“Great stay” The house is a beautiful, querky, old cottage. It is huge with good sized rooms including bedrooms. We were really pleasantly surprised with the village setting, proximity to Filey (1hour walk or 10min drive). 8 people would comfortably fit in the house. The garden was very private and safe for a little dog we had with us. The village amenities were great, it had everything you could want inc bakery, butchers and takeaway. We also visited the piebald pub which was great- we were absolutely stuffed and we'd never seen so many different pies!! We cooked one night and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the tea/coffee/milk and cupcakes were well received!! The staff were friendly and very helpful when we left something behind. The only small negative we could find were the sofas which had seen better days. Overall fantastic stay, hot tub was a lovely touch and a welcome addition to stay!

“Amazing stay” We could not fault this holiday one bit. From the warm welcome we received to all the little extras in our caravan were second to done. Very comfortable beds. Great location in the park. Primrose Vally is a fantastic destination for a family holiday. We've even booked again!!
