“PEACEFUL, RELAXING, EXCELLENT LOCATION” We have just returned from 68 Yardie, it is a lovely clean spacious property with everything and more that you could wish for. From the bedroom window we saw dolphins in the sea within an hour of arriving. We walked a mile or so along coastal path and watched the seals basking and swimming. Town is 10-15mins walk with good variety of shops. Beds huge and very comfortable as were the sofas. Owners helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Will certainly stay again when is Scotland as left feeling stress-free and relaxed.

“New Year Break” We stayed at Rhona’s caravan over New Year and had a fantastic time! The caravan was spotless and had lots of lovely extras provided! The club house had entertainment on over the festive period and it was very family friendly! We have stayed in this caravan before and will definitely stay again! Rhona made the booking process very simple and ther prices were very reasonable!!

“Great flat in beautiful area” We just spent 10 days in Lossiemouth and stayed in a beautiful flat which had everything we needed and little extras including luxury bubble bath, shower gel, hand soap and hand sanitizer, also very thoughtful left milk and short bread on arrival. Beautiful location to explore and right next to harbour lots of nice cafe's and restaurants, will go back again.

“Highly recommended” I booked last minute for a week, whilst my house was like a building site. It’s just fab. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you may need. The beds are so comfy, and the standard of furnishings makes you feel you’re staying in a home from home. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the place, and Jillian as a host for her help and great communications

“A great base for a week by the sea” It has been a few months now since we stayed at this clean and comfortable apartment. But we continue to talk as a family about our time there. Unlike myself, Paul responded quickly and helpfully in all communications and helped us with his local knowledge and suggestions. Easy off road parking and access from the back gate to the west beach path (1 min walk on sandy paths) also access to the local restaurant / pub. A short car trip to the east beach (few mins) but well worrh it - if you go there, take a metal detector and you may find my wedding ring... Most talked about points are dolphins off Cromarty and an afternoon catching crabs off the Lossiemouth harbour wall. Most concern at the time was, the weather - which turned out sunny, and that the apartment seemed so clean and new we were worried about making a sandy mess... but is that a bad thing? 8) When we left to go home, we left behind a few odds and ends and Snowy - our daughters toy kitten. Paul very kindly and quickly packaged and sent them on to us, arriving before she realised they were gone. Thank you.

“This was a great relaxing stay” Was visiting the area for both family and tourist reasons and really needed a 'get away' break. I found the 'Bothy' and it was just what I needed. No hotel, B&B but somewhere self contained. The 'Bothy' is self contained and has all you need for your stay. A really nice bedroom/sitting room (bed really comfy), a small kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge and kettle/coffee maker and all you need for simple meals. Even had tea, coffee, milk and cookies provided. My host, Fiona, greeted me to advise on how things work but after that allowed me to have the solitude I wanted but with the proviso that I could call on her if necessary. Spent two nights here and would have liked more. This is a great place and highly recommended.

“Lovely return visit” This is the second time we've stayed here and had a great time again. The house is perfect for a small family. There's a good selection of games and a few jigsaws for the wet days as well as all the usual essentials. Beds very comfy! All in all this is a great wee house and a nice base for exploring the area. Although it was chilly, being February, there was plenty to do. Lossiemouth beach is great for sandcastle building in any temperature. Coopers Park in Elgin is lovely with a good play park, aviary and large pond with ducks, swans and geese to feed.

“Fantastic wee gem” This is our second stay and we hope its not our last! The cottage is fantastic, Jeanette is so lovely, thanks for the hamper! The location is brilliant with beaches, walks and the local pub/restaurant just a few minutes stroll away. Brilliant!!

“A little gem” My wife, daughter and I were visiting family in Elgin. We chose this accommodation based on previous excellent reviews and were so glad that we did. It's very well equipped, spotlessly clean and ideally located for the town centre and link roads to the surrounding area. Provides a 'home from home' experience which a hotel doesn't. Would recommend staying here without hesitation

“Fantastic relaxing well equipped cottage.” We had a lovely week staying at Chelona cottage. Ian, owner, couldn’t have been more friendlier or helpful, the cottage was superb exactly what it does on the tin - well equipped kitchen and bathroom, comfy bedrooms, lovely sitting room, good heating system and wood burning fire perfect for January, perfect garden for kids and dogs. Lovely dogwalks nearby, good for cycling with kids, and Spey Bay up road was lovely, ice skating for kids at Elgin perfect among other things.

“Luxurious holiday home” From the moment you park your car at the door you know it's going to be a great experience . The lovely steps up to the door and rope bannister are very tasteful and set the scene for what is inside . The whole house has a Wow factor - a nautical theme throughout and exquisite taste and comfort that you do not expect from a holiday let . Great attention to detail and nothing has been missed as it is perfectly equipped . You will wish it was your home by the end of your stay .

“Lovely stay.” Clean, comfortable with all you require for a home from home stay. Games room with pool table and darts provide entertainment for adults and kids. Hot tub great to relax after days out. Dot and Derek fab, friendly hosts. Went over and above to help us with car trouble. I would recommend any days out are booked in advance prior to going away. Saves any disappointment. Beautiful sandy beaches on Moray coast. Take own towels for beach and hot tub use. Take your bathrobe and flip flops for when coming out hot tub. Lovely meal at Aberlour Hotel, 2 miles away (approx). Co-op in Aberlour to pick up any essentials. Bigger supermarkets in Elgin and fast food outlets.

“Absolutely Lovely!!!” Just returned from a weeks stay. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Very peaceful and stunning location. Has everything you need. Ideal for our five month old spaniel who was very safe in the enclosed garden. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Sheila very kindly pointed out culbin sands as a great place to visit - it was stunning too. Well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend the buzzard cabin to anyone needing a recharge away from hustle and bustle. We hope to visit again soon. Both Sheila and Sandy are lovely hosts without being intrusive. Thank you.

“An incredibly well-equipped, very spacious property in the midst of wonderful countryside with lovely owners” I fear this will not be a very creative or unique review. I can only reiterate very strongly what every other reviewer seems to have mentioned. Whitegate Croft is the MOST FABULOUS place to stay. It was a very long drive for us (475 miles) and we were greeted at the property by the wonderfully friendly and generous owners, Angus and Alvina. We all agreed the long drive was well worth it. (3 generations aged 19 to 79). Nothing is too much trouble and Alvina makes wonderful pancakes as we discovered when she popped round with some one morning. The property itself lacks for absolutely nothing and the photos don't really do it full justice. It is fantastically equipped and very spacious. What worked well for us was having a downstairs single room (opposite the huge downstairs bathroom) which was ideal for my mobility impaired mother-in-law. Also great were the two living rooms, one with TV, one without but both furnished beautifully, the one with the tv had a wood burning stove and had wonderful views through windows/doors on three walls. The kitchen contained all mod cons and there was a separate utility room too. The upstairs bedrooms (double with ensuite and dressing area) had fantastic open views and a sea view could be glimpsed from the side kitchen window. Nearby are numerous quaint fishing villages to visit as well as the whale and dolphin centre at Spey Bay (free entry). Lots of distilleries are in the area and I can recommend the Glenfiddich one which we visited. Culloden battlefield and visitor centre was just over an hour away and Fochabers made an interesting visit (try the Baxters village). All in all, a great place to stay and visit.
