“Very clean, characterful and comfortable country refuge” We stayed for two nights in June with our two pre-school children. We were delighted to see how lovely the accommodation is - it's hard for the pictures to do justice to it. This is a high quality renovation using solid, good quality materials. It's also cosy and welcoming!
We didn't have a single problem - there were a few necessary staples in the cupboards (even dishwashing gloves!), unlike some self-catering accommodation, where they remove everything that has been left by previous guests, forgetting that it might be useful.
Helen and Raymond were very helpful and were on hand should we have needed any help or had any questions. Lovely freshly baked bara brith on arrival. The children were invited to use the trampoline and the goal posts and other toys left out for them by Helen, which, on top of the Llangollen steam railway nearby, made their holiday.
We are looking forward to returning. P.S. There is a pub ten minutes away (the Moors Inn) which, while not a "gastro" pub, is very friendly and obliging, taking our orders at 9pm on a Friday evening.
