“Blissful Location” After being sceptical at first about the close train tracks behind the cottage, we had a totally calm and relaxing family holiday without any trouble from the trains. The view over the Firth is stunning, and the proximity to Edinbur

Seaside Cottage, Sea front at Burntisland
Everything you need for a tranquil holiday with local amenities a stone's throw away.

Absolutely fantastic location for a holiday. The cottage is directly on the edge of the Firth of Forth with breathtaking views across the water towards Edinburgh. All can be enjoyed from the living room, small terrace at the front of the house or simply by sitting on the sea wall at the bottom of the garden. The local amenities are comprehensive and the choice of activities to partake in locally are huge. Walking, golfing, swimming, rock pool exploration, sitting on the beach, fishing, dining out, fairground, crazy golf and many more activities for the whole family. Great location too for day tripping into Edinburgh to the south or the Beautiful Scottish Highlands to the north and the quaint fishing harbours and seaside towns along the coast of Fife. Contact with the owner Cliff was friendly and helpful and the wonderful Elaine who looks after the property was a fantastic and helpful contact to have for the duration of our two week stay in the cottage. The cottage itself is equipped with all a family of 4 need to cater for themselves and comfortably furnished with a homely atmosphere that's ideal to relax in on an evening. The only thing we missed was a regular oven but there is a microwave/convection which can be used for cooking ready made meals. We (mum, dad, 7 year old and grandma) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and hope we will be lucky enough to do so again in the future. We will certainly look back on this holiday as one of the best ever an feel ourselves privileged to have stayed there. Thank you Cliff and Elaine see more
    Loft on the Links
Perfect retreat to explore Edinburgh and the lowlands

Loft on the Links is a perfect place for a couple looking to escape the rate race and explore Scotland. The loft is spacious for a couple and we used the kitchen to prepare meals and found the lounge to be really comfortable and with a stunning view. Burntisland is a quiet town, but had all we needed: a pub, co-op for food (nice shop), chippy (excellent) and a ten min walk to the Railway station. We used the train service to get into Edinburgh and off peak it was £8.50 each and took about half an hour. Really recommend this as a way of visiting the city. The flat was really well equipped, with all the stuff you need to cook food and to relax in comfort. The location is very quiet, just the distant rumble from the nearby train line to remind you that you are still in the real world! The views from all the front facing windows are stunning and great just to sit and watch the world go by. We had a great time and would love to go back (tomorrow if we could!). Really recommend this if you want to escape to a quiet seaside location. 11 / 10! :-) see more
