From the owner

Railway Crossing Cottage is a charming detached stone cottage, originally a crossing keeper's cottage on the now disused Anstruther to St. Andrews Railway. It is located in tranquill countryside 2 miles from the villages of Crail and Anstruther and it has been beautifully and sensitively restored and extended, providing a cosy and warm holiday retreat for family and friends. There is a private hot tub on the decking area with wonderful views to the surrounding countryside and distant views to The Firth of Forth and The Isle of May.

There are 2 bedrooms at the property, a double room and a twin/double room, and a lovely characterful open plan sitting room and kitchen/dining area. The sitting area has a cosy wood burning stove, wooden flooring & comfy leather sofas.

The garden is mainly laid to lawn and is secure and fully fenced. There is a second sun terrace with wooden outside table and chairs, sun parasol and barbeque. There is ample parking for 2 cars at the front of the cottage. We are happy to accept 1 well behaved dog.

It is a perfect location for exploring the quaint fishing villages of The East Neuk, the historic town of St. Andrews and the scenic coastline of Fife. The nearby villages of Crail and Anstruther are wonderful for exploring, with their picturesque harbours, great shopping, pubs/restaurants and tourist attractions. Boat trips from Anstruther to The Isle of May are most popular.
