About the home

One word - ”adorable” - Sea Angel is a place to step back in time. An original 1930’s seaside beach chalet, set in a magical location with glimpses of the sea, perfect for an old fashioned family holiday. It is privately owned and loved, a place to escape to and live out your childhood seaside memories. Just a few minutes walk through the paths and sand dunes to the most breathtaking and amazing secret beach in West Cornwall.

She really looks forward to visitors and is perfect for 2 adults and 2 small children or 3 adults. You could even sleep 4 adults if you got on very well! One double bedroom and a bunk bedroom. There is a great sofa bed in the lounge, all decorated in a shabby chic “Cath Kidson” style. The kitchen is quaint and fully equipped with a full size cooker, microwave fridge and sink. The bathroom has a shower and WC, adjacent is a little vanity area with a full size sink.

Fantastic for family and two family holidays for more fun and to beat the recession works our really well on price per person great for groups.

There are fluffy duvets and pillows provided. We ask that you bring your own towels and bed linen for double/ king size duvet covers and two singles. There is also an iron, hair-dryer, CD player, and dvd/TV provided. Fully equipped kitchen. Shower room and vanity area. Just all so... so Adorable. xxx

If you are visiting in the winter break there is heating available from the electric radiators and an old fashioned electric metre that takes £1 coins.

The West Country / Cornwall region

West Cornwall is a magical place full of legend, sacred sites and miles of unspoilt beaches. Sea Angel is central for visiting all that West Cornwall has to offer.

Cornwall has the best beaches for surfing and meditating. Wonderful for bobble hat and log holidays in the winter.

The St Ives / Hayle area

You are located near Hayle which has its own harbour. There are lots of restaurants and shops, just 4 miles from St Ives and 15 minutes from Penzance, which has great nightlife.

Everywhere is usually 20 minutes away, which is part of the Cornish charm. Magical Marazion and the Farm House are only 10 minutes away.

Sea Angel is located on Rivere Towans which is off the A30 from Exeter to West Cornwall and between St Ives and Penzance nearest village being Hayle.

Flights to West Cornwall are daily to Newquay. Gatwick - Newquay daily. Very cheap flights. The heli port is only 15 mins away, fantastic day out to Scilly Isles.

Train Travel – London – West Cornwall ( Penzance) 5 hours. Hayle village has it’s own station also daily trains from London and they have one train a day from London also. Penzance is 15 minutes drive away, and has lot’s more trains every few hours.

Car Hire – Long Rock www.enterprise.co.uk 5 mins from house will pick you up in the car from the railway station in Penzance. A car is not necessary but is helpful if you want to sightsee!

Buses – All day brilliant service to all of West Cornwall.

Taxis – Also brilliant, know where you want to go.

“What a Fabulous Holiday !!” What a wonderful holiday! Sea Angel is so very pretty. The décor delightful. Everything was clean and well maintained. Beds comfortable. Kitchen area brill. Would highly recommend!

“Simply Idylic” What can I say? Great location, clean and tidy and good value for money. Shabby Chic is an apt description of this property and in no way is it ever going to be 5* accomodation but it proved to be a relaxing, if at times a little wet, pre Xmas break. We would not hesitating this property and location to our firends and will definitely come back again. Enoough said.

“Heaven is a little seaside chalet called Sea Angel” We love the Sea Angel; she is such a dear sweet little chalet. The decoration is a quaint shabby chic style. Everything you could wish for in a holiday home, Fridge Freezer, microwave, cooker and electric power shower. I loved the personal touches, scented candles, homemade art work. The main bed is like a huge marshmallow that you sink into and enjoy the most wonderful re charging deep sleep. The living room has a large sofa bed, and also a small kitchen table and chairs with a window view. Opening the stable door in the morning to let the sea breeze and sunshine enter just sets you up for the day. I was able to park the car next to Sea Angel which is perfect as I have mobility problems. We found the park very friendly with a nice mixture of home owners and holiday makers. Excellent recycling facilities which was important for us. The beach was only a stone throw away; we always found this to be very clean. The only regret was we stayed for a week, when we wanted to stay for ever.

“Unpleasant accommodation - Sea Angel / Ramblers Beach Chalet, E22 Riviere Towans, Phillack, Hayle, C” We paid £1,300 to book 14 nights in this chalet (£93.00 per night!). We arrived to find it in a filthy state – thick dust, hairs and sticky grime everywhere. There was faecal matter under the toilet seat, urine around the base of the toilet, and mould in the shower (see photos). It was also in a state of disrepair (see photos) – the water heater in the kitchen and extractor fan in the bathroom were broken, the water heater in the bathroom was leaking water over the floor, the valence was hanging off the bed, and the outside bench was falling apart. We spoke to chalet park staff who were kind and helpful (they even loaned us a pair of pliers to try to get hot water), but they explained there was nothing they or we could do as the chalet is privately owned and the owner was overseas. We chose to leave and contacted the owner by email to describe the state of the chalet and request a refund. After considerable communication, we received a refund of £550 of the £1,300 we paid. This is the first time we have ever felt the need to write a negative review of anything, let alone holiday accommodation – we have taken many holidays in Cornwall and always had wonderful experiences. Unfortunately we do not recommend this accommodation.

Please remember Sea Angel is a wooden Chalet. That means she is made out of wood, it is not like being in a house at all so please be gentle with her. She was built in the 1930's and very magical, if you thinking your coming to a 5* hotel and used to holidaying abroad, this is a diffrent experience holidaying in the old fashioned truly relaxing back to nature way. xxx
