The West Country region

Set on the North West coast of Cornwall and boasting one of the warmest climates in the UK, thanks to the Atlantic Gulf Stream, it's easy to see why the Guardian named it Best Seaside Town. There is plenty to do in a town famous for its thriving art scene and The Tate St Ives, one of only 4 branches of the Tate Gallery.

St Ives

Black Moon is situated overlooking Bamaluz Beach and is within easy walking distance of many of the local attractions. As you'd imagine with a town popular with artists, St Ives has a happening after-hours scene where you can find anything from small cosy pubs to stylish bars. There are also a multitude of local restaurants which serve anything from delicious home-made food to top quality restaurant fare. St Ives also boasts one of the oldest Inns in Cornwall, The Sloop Inn being dated circa 1312. A walk around the town reveals hidden art galleries, harbour side eateries and beachside cafes. There are 4 beaches nearby including Porthmeor Beach, Porthgwidden Beach and Porthminster Beach. The local countryside also has great walking and hiking trails that range in difficulty and length. With something for everyone, St Ives really is the perfect seaside getaway!

"Lovely way to start married life....."

Some friends of ours recommended Black Moon and when we walked in the door we were not disappointed. It is absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Perfect location for the town and in December when no one else is around it is very easy to get to. We did have a few issues while we were there as the shower had no hot water but the staff at Beachspoke were extremely helpful and did what they could to help. I would recommended this place to anyone who fancies a bit of luxury with gorgeous surroundings both inside and out.

"Out of this world"

From outside the front door in a charming street near the Quay, you step through into another world. It took us 2 hours just looking at and admiring the pure luxury and decadence of all that was Black Moon. Then we enjoyed the most amazing views from the lounge which was at the waters edge. It took me a while to feel comfortable about walking on the glass floor, but when I did it was the most amazing experience to look down into your own private cave. In 4 winter days we spent most of the time snuggled down with no need to wander far. Thank you for the most wonderful experience of a stay at Black Moon. Also, Beachspoke were very friendly and helpful at all times.
