The Cornwall region
Cornwall is an all-year-round destination as, thanks to the Gulf Stream, spring comes early and autumn hangs around for longer. But it's not just climate that makes Cornwall a fabulous place to visit - whether high or low season, Cornwalls attractions extend far beyond the beach and its events calendar attracts visitors throughout the year.
Learn to surf at Polzeath Beach, play with the kids at Daymer Bay - a very child friendly beach or take the dog for a run on one of the many dog friendly beaches. Take in some history at Lanhydrock House (the cream teas are delicious!), reach the dizzy heights of Tintagel Castle, explore your environment at The Eden Project or hire a bike in Wadebridge and go for a walk or cycle ride along the Camel Trail. Hop across the Camel Estuary from Rock to the picturesque town of Padstow and sample the delights of Rick Stein's The Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 plus many more amazing restaurants and pubs or drive a little further afield for the busier town of Newquay and Fistral Beach.
Polzeath beach offers surfing (lessons for all ages available), body boarding, paddle boarding, canoeing, coasteering, the list goes on. Rock offers waterskiing, sailing, fishing and boat trips.
But if all this is a little too energetic then just sit back and relax with your favourite tipple and enjoy the laid back cornish way of life.
5 miles north east of Pebble Cottage you will discover Port Isaac (look out for Doc Martin, many of our visitors have seen him filming). You will also find Trebarwith Strand, Tintagel and Boscastle in this direction, all within a short drive. 5 miles south east will take you to the town of Wadebridge where you will find all the amenities associated with a larger market town, though this is still not without its charm, you will also find the Camel Trail here. The pretty port of Padstow is only 12 miles drive if you don't fancy the foot ferry. Bodmin is only a short drive and Newquay can be easily reached just 20 miles away.
Head south and you will easily find your way to Looe, Polperro and Fowey. The Eden Project, Lands End and St Ives are easy to get to in around an hour or so.
Pebble Cottage is located on the outskirts of St Minver and Rock in North Cornwall. The family surfing paradise, Polzeath Beach is only 3 miles away and Rock is just 2 miles. On the road into Rock you will find all your local amenities including a butchers, a bakers which also sells hot pasties, a village shop, delicatessen, post office, petrol station and cash machine. You will also find a fish and chip take away, a few restaurants; Mariners, The Nathan Outlaw, The Rock Inn, No.1 Rock Rd and the Blue Tomato Cafe tucked right at the end of the road, ideal for lunch, dinner, a glass of wine or a coffee.
Learn to water ski or sail at Rock, take a fishing trip or hop on the foot ferry to Padstow. A water taxi also runs through the summer from Rock to Padstow.
There are many golf courses in the area: St Enodoc in Rock, The Point at Polzeath, Trevose, Llanhydrock amongst a few.
Whether it's an active holiday or a relaxing break that you're after, we have it all within easy reach of Pebble Cottage, it's the perfect location.

"Perfect cottage in a fantastic location."
We'd stayed at one of the other cottages before but this was our first time at Pebble cottage. This group of cottages are situated well away from any roads, so the kids can play safely and make plenty of new friends in the large area to the front of the cottages. Pebble cottage is modern, clean, spacious and contains everything you might need. So much to see and do in this area of Cornwall and still not too far from St Ives etc if you want to explore further.

"Great location, modern, clean with good facilities."
We have stayed at Pebble cottage on more than one occasion in summer and winter season and the weather was fantastic both times, each stay we have seen something new in the area. The cottage is very clean, modern and all the facilities you require for a wonderful holiday in the UK (one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, wish I could of taken it home). The location is ideal as there are so many easily accessible places to visit all within a relatively short drive. My teenage son and his friend loved the activities at nearby Polzeath beach whilst we enjoy the trip over by ferry to Padstow and a wonderful drink on the terrace at Rock on our return. Would recommend this for any time of the year. Hope to return again later in year.

"Great Cottage and Perfect Location"
Had a perfect week with my wife and our cocker spaniel. The cottage was very clean and was obviously well maintained and recently decorated. On arrival on the Saturday the owner had provided a welcome pack with all the essentials so didn't have to rush to the shop. The cottage is ideally placed and is within easy reach (by car) of Polzeath (great for surfing), Rock (can recommend Rock Inn and the fish and chip shop!) and is 10 Minutes from Wadebridge. We went along the camel trail by bike from Wadebridge to Padstow which was great. If you want a cottage that's in a excellent location with fantastic views and great restaurants nearby then you should consider the cottage. Our dog loved all the local dog friendly beaches!.
