Home description
Once a hayloft with milking parlour below, has now been converted to a beautiful 3 bed holiday cottage with Veranda and private garden, with views across the pond and out to sea, many walks along the coast or inland.
In winter the coast line is majestic and awesome with crashing seas, whilst when the sun is shining, you couldn't have a more perfect beach holiday.
The Roseland peninsular is the ideal base for those who want to get off the beaten track, whilst still close to some of the main attractions in Cornwall like the Eden project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The West Country / Cornwall region
In the last decade Cornwall has emerged as one of the worlds iconic destinations. From the dramatic coastline of the North to the sheltered bays of the South, from ancient moorland to soft river estuaries, surfers, walkers, sailing buffs, gastronauts and visitors simply seeking a break from a hectic world have discovered a fascinating vibrant culture, first class accommodation, food to die for and a naturally thrilling adventure playground.
In Cornwall you are never more than 16 miles from the sea and has over 300 beaches to choose from!
A small handful of Attractions:
The Eden Project The Lost gardens of Heligan Tate Gallery - St Ives National Maritime Museum - Falmouth 'The World famous' Minnack Theatre
Gorran Haven / Portholland area
Portholland is made up of 2 small hamlets. East and West Portholland, the little village is home to a total of about 40 permanent residents. Located on 2 coves, Portholland and all the properties therein is owned by the Caerhayes Castle estate the past home of the Trevanion family and sold to the Williams in 1860.
The Williams have done their best to keep the area a working farm centred community that was away from the modern life and its haste! Caerhayes Castle can be found a mere 5 minute drive away in a sheltered valley that overlooks Porthluney Cove.
East and West Portholland have recently been declared a National Heritage Asset. The areas around Portholland are virtually unchanged for well over 100 years. This hamlet of Portholland where time seems to have stood still is a rarity in this day and age.
At high tide Portholland has 2 separate coves but when the tide is low these coves are joined together by golden sand. Ideal for families Portholland is equidistant between St Austell and Truro and is a great base for exploring deeper into the intriguing Roseland Peninsula with a great choice of pubs and restaurants within a short drive. It is also particularly well placed as it receives the maximum amount of sunshine most of the year thus creating a balmy type climate that lasts until Autumn.
