The Central England/Cotswolds region
The Cotswolds is charming all year round and visiting the Cotswolds is a wonderful experience. Officially the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, it isn’t hard to understand why the Cotswolds is known and loved by the English and foreign travellers alike.
Many come to the Cotswolds for the wonderful country walks, cycling along the highways and byways, exploring the wonderfully unique boutiques, each charming town and village have to offer and relaxing with a fabulous cream tea or sitting in front of an open fire at the end of the day.
Spring is a wonderful time to see the lambs and bluebell woods. The many unique Cotswold Cottage Gardens and country houses are a great way to enjoy the lighter summer evenings, whereas Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretum comes alive with its vast array of stunning leaf displays in autumn. And the Christmas markets are a wonderful way to start the festive season. Really, the Cotswolds has something for everyone of all ages and all tastes.
Twine Cottage is also within easy access to other quaint Cotswold villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton on the Water and Broadway and National Trust properties of Hidcote and Snowshill Manor and the larger towns of Stratford Upon Avon, Morton in Marsh and Cheltenham.

"A beautiful cottage in an excellent location. We will definitely be going back!"
My partner and I recently stayed in this gorgeous thatched cottage. It is just a couple of
minutes walk from Chipping Campden High Street yet it is in a really quiet spot.
The cottage was perfect: it had everything that we needed and was very clean and tidy. We especially loved the exposed beams and fantastic bathroom. The bed was so comfy with gorgeous crisp linen, and it was lovely to wake up and hear the birds in the morning. After a day out, it was great to come back to our cosy cottage and relax. It really did feel like it was our home for the week.
Rosie was really easy to deal with. She was very efficient with our booking and answered lots of questions about the area and the cottage.
We decided that Chipping Campden is our favourite Cotswold village, with its quaint high street and lovely shops. It has lots of different places to chose from to eat and a real French patisserie where we brought our fresh croissants for breakfast every morning.
The most difficult thing was having to leave the cottage, but we have every intention of going back again later this year. We can definitely recommend Twine Cottage and we think that everyone should stay in a thatched cottage at least once in their lifetime.

"A lovely cottage in the loveliest of Cotswold towns"
We loved everything about our stay in Twine Cottage just before Christmas. The accommodation was cosy and well-appointed, there are lots of lovely pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk, and some stunning walks from the doorstep. Dealing directly with Rosie made the booking procedure smooth and her information about the area was very helpful. We shall definitely be recommending the cottage to our friends and family and hope to return ourselves very soon.

"Lovely Cottage, Perfect Location"
Spent a week in November in the lovely Twine Cottage. The cottage was perfect; thatched roof, wooden beams running through the rooms, perfect size for 2 people. It was very cosy and warm in the middle of November and had all the amenities we could want. I especially loved the big bath in the bathroom, which was lovely to get back to and relax after a walk in the countryside. The location of the cottage was great, just a 5 minute walk to Chipping Campden. Chipping Campden was the perfect size, with a range of pubs, restaurants, and cafes, as well as little independent shops. It was also in a great spot to enjoy lots of walking in the nearby countryside. Had a lovely, relaxing week here and would love to come back!

"Amazing Retreat, will be back!"
We decided to rent out this wonderful little cottage for our honeymoon. Its was a great decision. It was everything we could have wanted and more. The location is perfect. We could walk everywhere.
The cottage itself is full of character and is very comfortable. We loved staying here!!!
Rosie, the owner, was very helpful. Traveling from the US, we had a lot of question, and she answered them all.

You left such a nice review in our visitor's book about how you had enjoyed your stay and loved the cottage, that I am really disappointed and surprised that you have written such an erroneous review.
Here are the facts:
Your boyfriend booked for 4 nights – Monday – Friday and this is clear on the booking form and receipt which I sent him. Apparently, the week before you were due to arrive you decided you wanted to come two days earlier on the Saturday. We had deliberately chosen not to take any guests that weekend, as we wanted to do some work on the house and in the garden and put up the Christmas decorations so that it would look good for you and the other guests booked in during December. Twine Cottage was booked nearly 48 weeks of the year last year, so this was one of our few chances when we could have access at the weekend.
When my partner arrived at Twine after making a 2-hour journey on the Sunday, he was extremely surprised to see you and your partner and your Staffordshire bull terrier dog already at the cottage. I called you as I look after the bookings, to find out if perhaps you had mistakenly got the arrival date wrong and you admitted that it had been a very busy week at work for you and perhaps you had forgotten to call me to ask if you could come on the Saturday instead of the Monday. You also said that you had thought that the security deposit would cover the extra two nights so had not been concerned that you might need to pay us extra for the two nights before you arrived. It was not that I could not remember speaking to you, but until this time all communication had been made between myself and your boyfriend and neither he or you had called or emailed to say that you wanted to extend your stay. If you had, I would also have asked for up front payment for the two extra nights and I would certainly not have suggested that the security deposit would cover it, especially as you were bringing your dog. Certainly at no time did you ask to stay the Friday night, but that would not have been possible anyway as there had been a long term booking in place from the Friday which you could see on the website. I was always under the assumption that you were leaving on the Friday as that is what you had asked and paid for originally. To say that you were forced to leave as we had double booked is entirely incorrect.
It clearly states on our Holiday Lettings website we charge a % of a weeks' rate for 3 or 4 nights which is what you originally paid and then you paid for the extra two nights. We charge a week's rate for stays of 5, 6, or 7 nights and you paid for the 6 nights you stayed. We would have of course refunded you one night's stay, but as this shows there was absolutely no reason for us to do this.
I am pleased however that you both liked the cottage and Chipping Campden and am very sorry if you feel that I was incompetent in any way. To avoid any misunderstanding or mix-up over bookings, I have always been meticulous that my booking forms have all the correct information and I would always send out a new one if any changes are made from the original booking.

"The perfect place to stay in Chipping Campden"
We were fortunate to spend a week in this gorgeous cottage in the delightful village of Chipping Campden. Twine Cottage is just charming, the interior is tastefully decorated and yet is in keeping with the age and character of the cottage. It was very cosy, quiet and romantic and the bathroom especially is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the fresh, crisp bedlinen reminded us of staying in a first class hotel. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner has left lots of useful information about local restaurants, shops and pubs and local places of interest. There are some great places to eat in the village especially the Noel Arms and The Eight Bells and lots of lovely walks to take nearby.
Even though it was quite cold we had one sunny day where we sat out in the lovely private garden and both agreed that we had to come back again in the summer months.
Like the reviews in the visitor's book I can only think of positive things to say about this cottage – it was just blissful and we can't wait to stay there again!
