About the home

The apartment is an annex to the main house and is approached by a stone staircase with it's own private entrance. The accommodation is light and airy and has a comfortable lounge with pleasant rural views. One bedroom with a Louis XV antique double bed, spacious shower room and well equipped galley kitchen.

Separate laundry facilities are available.

The Central England / Cotswolds / Gloucestershire region

The Cotswolds generally has a mild climate and is an excellent area for walking and cycling. The area has soft undulating hills and beautifull mellow Cotswold stone villages to visit.

There are many National Trust properties in the area the nearest to Chipping Campden being the famous Hidcote Gardens. Stratford on Avon and Warwick Castle are nearby.The Falconry Centre, Cotswold Farm Park and the Cotswold Water Park are among just some of the local attractions.

The Chipping Campden area

Chipping Campden is an historic wool town, the oldest house in the town dates back to 1380 built by William Grevel a successful wool merchant. The 15th century church is one of the great "wool churches" of the Cotswolds.
The Art and Crafts movement came to Campden from the East End of London in 1902 and flourished in the town for a number of years. We still have Harts the silversmiths working in the Old Silk Mill and visitors are always welcome in the workshop.

Each year we have a Music Festival in May, Open Gardens in June which are always well attended and of course again in June our famous Robert Dover's Cotswold Olimpick Games,an historical event which dates back to 1612.

We are situated 12 miles south of Stratford-on-Avon. The nearest train station is Moreton- in- Marsh which has a good service from London Paddington.

The nearest airport is Birmingham International which is approximately 45 minutes drive.
Car hire can be obtained at the airport but there is also a local company which will deliver a hire car to the holiday rental.

“Cosy apartment for 2 in lovely market town” This is a perfect cosy apartment for 2 people above the owner's garage, very quiet and just a few minutes walk from the lovely market town of Chipping Campden. The owner was very welcoming and informative and the apartment was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. You have use of a small area of garden to sit out in too. It was the perfect place to explore the area from. Thank you Pearl for the use of your lovely holiday apartment and we would certainly like to return sometime.
