Badgers End
About the home
Badgers End is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday and from which to tour the Cotswolds. Chipping Campden is a traditional wool market town with beautiful buildings and many wonderful shops and excellent restaurants.
Close to the market towns of Moreton in Marsh and Broadway, there is plenty to do and see in the area with all the surrounding Cotswold villages and larger towns of Stratford on Avon, Oxford, Warwick, and Cheltenham.
Situated in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty, in a fold of the Cotswold Hills, Chipping Campden is considered to be one of the finest and most beautiful unspoilt medieval towns in England.
The long graceful curve of the High Street presents an almost unbroken vista of 14th to 18th century buildings with their honey coloured stone walls and mullion windows.
The surrounding countryside offers many excellent walks and rides and there are ample sporting opportunities.
A wide variety of shops and excellent restaurants, tea rooms and galleries make this a super base for your holiday and from which to tour.

Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking.
The town has changed little over the years and is still the focus for much of the local rural community. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and an excellent range of shops selling local produce, gifts and antiques. The town is associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, including medieval architecture, historic gardens and monuments, regular markets and unique shops. There are also numerous beautiful, quaint little villages waiting to be explored within a short drive.
Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain’s Olympic beginnings”. Stratford on Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. Cheltenham and the famous racing festival lie 15 miles away.

We have stayed at many self catering properties but this cottage was the best equipped. It is tucked away behind the High Street with its own parking space and small outside seating area, literally... more Response: Thanks for your feedback, it's really appreciated. Hope to hear from you again. |

The house and all in was lovely, everything had been thought of and supplied. We couldn't have been more comfortable and would recommend the cottage to all those who want peace and comfort as a break. We will certainly use this cottage if we go back to the area again. Chipping Campden itself is a lovely place to visit and so close to so many lovely places. Go and enjoy! Response: We're pleased you liked the cottage. It is so convenient for the High Street yet you'd never know you were so close! The cottage is well equipped and has owners who travel and know what a fellow traveller requires! Thanks for your kind comments & hope to see you again in the future. |
