"An ideal base to explore Cheshire"
We have just returned from our week's stay at Honeysuckle cottage, it is ideal for visiting the surrounding area. We would recommend Chester Zoo as this was a great day out and only took around 45 minutes to get there.
The garden is a lovely sun trap and the decked area receives the sunshine until late on in the evening, so very peaceful.
Although the cottage is situated in a rural area, there is a lovely pub, (Black Bull - 2 minute walk) that sells delicious food and there is also a very pleasant outdoor seating area.
There are a few supermarkets that are within a short drive.
The cottage was also much more spacious than we expected, the views from the back bedroom were beautiful.

"Fantastic stay and a relaxing weekend."
My wife and I really enjoyed our 3 nights at Honeysuckle Cottage. The fires gave it a lovely cozy feel and the location was superb. Arrived to a brilliantly presented location, very tidy, very nicely decorated, extremely comfortable and fires ready to be lit, what more could you ask for? Pub just two minute walk down the road had a buzzing atmosphere and served great food. Will definately go back in the future. Chester Zoo is also a must, very informative and a great variation of animals. Will definatey be recommending this one to friends and family.

"beautiful surroundings and amazing cottage"
Just what we were looking for having a 6 yr old with us. We wanted the freedom and no hassle and thats exactly what Honeysuckle cottage provided and more!! The owner was a phone call away if we didnt understand anything and provided helpful info about the area. It was spotless on arrival and there was already items left for arrival like tea coffee etc and the open fire had already been laid for us to light. There was a folder telling us places to visit and what was going on in the local areas including a recent pub menu and the village booklet with details about the surrounding villages. It also had how to use the heating, fire and it had a tv/dvd/freeview for those cold nights watching tv round an open fire wih coal etc provided. The beds were so comfortable and it was very homely. The back garden was lovely with decking and table and chairs to have a coffee and was safe for the kids being fenced and there was a grass bit for the kids to play on. All round lovely cottage in a lovely area unspoilt countryside. On a larger note for those foodies out there, there is a lovely pub down the road which is child friendly and very lovely inside. All round great holiday..amazing value for a gorgeous place...thanks Elizabeth x

Gorgeous sweet cottage - real home from home. We arrived with our little one and the cottage was very clean. Very modern, lovely wood furniture and really comfy beds. Lovely, warm central heating and a fab real fire which is cosy of an evening. In a great location for Chester, Nantwich and Whitchurch. Also a couple of miles from the fabulous ice cream factory and the candle workshops - were the kids can make candles. Have booked to go again next year. Can't wait! Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday!

"Excellent comfortable base for Chester"
Myself, husband and two young sons, stayed at this lovely house in Shocklach. On arrival we were greeted by a beautifully clean, roomy and tidy home, with all the equipment a family needs, also some milk and bread which was a godsend.
The beds were really comfortable, and my children loved looking at the calves in the field opposite from their bedroom. We found we were in a perfect place to visit Chester and all the surrounding tourist places. Excellent value for a summer holiday break.

"Lovely country cottage near an excellent pub"
A fantastic place to stay in a peaceful rural setting with close amenities and an excellent pub serving great food , 'The Bull', only a few hundred yards away. An excellent base for exploring both Chester area and North Wales. The owner was helpful and very quick to respond in booking and the cottage itself was beautifully decorated and with everything you need for a week away.
