Stewarts House holiday cottages comprising Coach and Stable, are located on the edge of the ancient village of Week St Mary with it's pretty church, village shop, and 2 pubs. Nestled in the hills looking towards Bude Bay, you can escape the traffic and madding crowds and enjoy the peace and serenity of the Cornish countryside.
With two cottages side by side, we can offer accommodation for groups or for smaller parties. Bedrooms are on the ground floor, some stepping out onto a west facing patio . Spacious open plan lounge/diners on the first floor have balconies looking out over beautiful views. A secluded walled garden on the east side is a sun trap and offers tranquility for those quiet book reading days. We also have a games room with table tennis and a pool table.

The West Country / Cornwall region

People often describe North Cornwall as a hidden gem and this is certainly true of the Bude area. Rural retreat meets surfing chic could be one way to describe what this region offers. Picturesque villages, historic harbours, lakes and woodlands, long rural views towards Dartmoor and Bodmin, and enough stunning beaches to suit everybody. Top this with the sunny micro climate of Bude, it's trendy surf shops, bars and restaurants and you have all the ingredients for a perfect holiday location.

Bude / Week St Mary area

The ancient village of Week St Mary has a thriving village shop, two pubs and not to be missed, the weekly fish and chip van! There is also a playing field, tennis court and children's playground. The village has a renowned scarecrow festival in August and September is Revel month to celebrate the harvest.

Nearby Bude offers good shopping, the 'Splash' swimming pool with a flume and health suite, and a leisure complex for bowling, karting and indoor play. Try boating or fishing on Bude canal or the nearby lakes at Tamar.
Golf courses can be found at Bude and Holsworthy to name a few.

Widemouth and Bude bay offer great surfing with lessons available at various centres that excell in outdoor pursuits.

Well worth visiting are the historic harbours of Boscastle, Clovelly and Port Issac all within a short drive. Many excellent fish restaurants can be found along with the famous Rick Steins at Padstow, only a 40 minute journey.

Further details indoors:
-Coach Cottage is one of two cottages in this barn conversion. Both cottages are virtually identical and are well equipped to a three star standard. Please enquire for availability for Stable Cottage. The price remains the same.
-New for this season are plasma screen televisions with freeview.

Further details outdoors:
-The Cottages are surrounded by the grounds of Stewarts house and farm land.
- Both cottages share a beautiful walled garden and west facing patio.
-Solid wood patio furniture allows for al fresco dining along with BBQ equipment.
-Plenty of room to store surf and beach equipment.

The owners live in the main house on site and are on hand should guests have any requirements.

Conditions

- Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only. £30 charge per dog.
- An initial deposit of 30% secures the booking with the final balance payable 8 weeks before the holiday starts.
- No damage deposit is taken but guests are required to report and pay for any damages that occur.
- Both cottages have a set of bunk beds that are more suited to children and teenagers.
- Towels can be provided at an extra charge.
- Please contact owners for Stable Cottage availability.
- For Christmas and New Year 2009 arrival dates are flexible.
