We stayed at Sunny South for 4 nights and wished we'd booked for longer! The house is spacious, warm, clean and comfortable, and is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It's an easy walk into Wareham through the little park behind the house, and the town has plenty of shops, pubs and other food outlets. Despite the rain we had an excellent break and Sunny South was perfect for relaxing in the evening after exploring the area all day.
We definitely hope to be able to book again next year. …
Lulworth Cove, Rose Cottage
Catriona was aware that we had booked Rose Cottage for an early family Christmas. She very thoughtfully decorated the cottage for us with a tree and all the trimmings: a lovely welcome for us.
The cottage is ideally located for Lulworth Cove; we were lucky as we had a superbly sunny walk to the beach then along the coast to Durdle Door. What an amazing place!!!
We had our dog with us: plenty of room in the hallway for her bed, a hilly garden is good for early morning and late evening walks. The walk we did was perfect for dogs - the cliff is fenced - she only needed the lead near the sheer cliffs at Durdle Door. …
'Beech' Large En-suite Wareham, Dorset & Purbeck
Friendly, welcoming hosts and lovely room. Very fresh and clean - good size room and great ensuite - looked almost brand new! Excellent choice of breakfast -including fresh fruit, cereal, full English, eggs Benedict, croisssant - all beautifully prepared by Sean and served by Denise. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Really convenient for visiting East Dorset - Corfe Castle, Swanage, Portland, Poole and Bournemouth. …
Fantastically well equipped, comfortable, homely property in a peaceful location
'The Chancel' is a fantastic hideaway property perfect for exploring beautiful Dorset. The house is tucked off the beaten track away from busy town centres and is a perfect place for getting away from it all. There are several towns within short driving distance with supermarkets and pubs and the beach at Lulworth Cove is less than 10 minutes drive away, Corfe Castle is about 15 minutes away and you can be in the large resort town of Weymouth in about half hour.
The Chancel is superbly equipped with all the pots, pans and crockery you would ever need, a dishwasher makes cleaning up a breeze and having young children we found the washing machine invaluable - there was even washing powder in the cupboards!
The comfy sitting room has a pair of uber comfy sofas perfect for lounging on and watching the TV or a DVD ( plenty of films to choose from if you had a rainy day or just wanted a day in ) We found the hi fi system particularly useful as I personally like to have music on pretty much constantly!
The chancel has 2 lovely clean bath rooms and a pair of power showers - we were very thankful of those as it was 34 degrees outside during our stay. In fact the only thing we can think of that we would have benefited from would have been a couple of electric fans.
We will certainly be visiting again next year if not sooner and will be booking The Chancel again for our stay.
We must admit it was a little eery walking through the old church yard to get to the house but we're happy to report no spooky goings on! - just adds to the charm of the place and I'm sure it has a fascinating history. ( the neighbours are dead quiet!! - sorry I couldn't resist! ) …
We stayed here for a short break, 5 nights, with good friends in September. Perfect location, just a few steps to the local shop, restaurants, pubs and sea. Such a lovely area with so many tourist attractions. The cottage was extremely well appointed, spacious rooms, one full bathroom, one separate toilet and one separate shower room. Everything we could need in the kitchen, living room and conservatory. The gated parking was another plus. I could happily live there! Would recommend it to families and adults alike. …
Breach House Lulworth Cove,, Dorset
We stayed at breach house for a long weekend with a group of friends and 4 young children. The location was perfect as Lulworth cove just down the road. Also shop and pub very nearby. The cottage was clean and spacious which was perfect for our group with large dining room table so we could all sit around and eat together in the evenings. Also allowed enough parking for 4 cars outside the cottage. Only downside would be the bedrooms were on the lower floor and living room above with just floorboards so very loud in the front 2 bedrooms which caused a few issues for us as people going to bed and getting up at different times due to the children. Wouldn’t be a problem if all going to bed and getting up at same time. Overall we had a excellent stay and would highly recommend breach house. …
