“Excellent cottage, beautiful location” We found the cottage very spacious for our group of seven adults. The property was very clean, well presented and had everything we needed. Two of the three rooms had en-suite bathrooms with a further main bathroom upstairs which cut out the shower queue! The living room was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The owner (Beryl) was very friendly and met us on arrival. We found the cottage easy to find and is only a few miles from lovely Monmouth centre. The cottage is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by rolling hills. We had no problems at all during our stay and would very happily stay here again. If you are attending an event in the area and plan to use taxis, I would advise that you book as far in advance as possible. We attended a wedding which was one of four in the area and really struggled to get home! (Thank you Beryl for providing some local numbers and for the word of warning!)

“Fabulous house in stunning setting.” We rented this lovely barn conversion to celebrate a significant birthday with friends. We could not have had a more perfect place to stay or better surrounds. (we were exceptionally lucky with the weather too) With access to the footpath to the Sugar loaf from our back door, some serious cycling in the black mountains, wild swimming, we felt very spoilt. We very much enjoyed our meal at the Walnut Tree and the lamb supplied by Pip and Ros was delicious. We would certainly like to return and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway stay.

“Fantastic Cottage, one to try” We spent a fantastic week at Llanvithyn Cottage this August. Not only was the cottage beautiful but we had sunshine for our entire stay! The photos on the website do not do the cottage justice - this is the first time I've booked a property and been surprised at how much bigger than I expected it was. The kitchen/diner is enormous and very well equipped, by the end of the week we could quite happily have moved in. The cottage is clean and beautifully decorated - a really good conversion. My children loved their rooms particularly the attic bedroom. Jon, Sian and their children were very welcoming hosts and we definitely plan to return.

“Superb experience.” We've spend a fantastic looong weekend in the capel (We equals 4 Belgian adults and 5 children, but the cottage offers plenty of space for the parents and the teens). The place was impeccable and at night it is very quiet. You can easily park 3 cars on the property. The large kitchen is well equipped: There is an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, two fridge freezers, a microwave… and a washing machine for those who plan to stay longer. Perfectly located to explore South Wales. There are plenty of maps and leaflets in the lounge. And if it is too much or if you should be short in imagination, I can absolutely recommend: Rhossili & Worms head, Mumbles pier, Swansea waterfront, Cardiff (bay), Penderyn Distillery, Big pit (underground tour). The owner was also very helpful in preparing our trip. Many many thanks !! J.

“What a luxury..” What a lovely place for a family holiday, everyone had an amazing time, we took 3 young children with us who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and although the weather was not great we still managed to make full use of the pool and hot tub, the lodge was fully equipt with everything we needed, we will definitely be returning in the future, wonderful!!
