“Fabulous!” We (husband, two children 10 and 12 and myself) stayed here when we went to the Rugby. It is a beautifully appointed apartment with lovely views of the canal and ideally situated in Cardiff Bay. Walking distance to two pubs and the number 7 bus stops right out the front and will have you in town in half an hour.
The apartment has all you could ask for in a short or longer term stay. Our daughter wanted to move in permanently and our son loved playing on the PlayStation 3. I loved walking on the lovely thick carpets in bare feet and would have loved more time to curl up on the coach with the luxurious cushions and blankets and read my book
Jan, the owner was very helpful with information on transport and places to eat which as it was our first visit to Cardiff and at short notice, was much appreciated.
We would have no hesitation in staying there next time.
“Very nice house in great location” Lovely house in a great location (5 mins from Bus, 10 mins from city centre). The owner was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would happily stay here again.
“Quaint house very comfortable suited our needs great.” Railway close by traveling into Cardiff city centre easy.Great walk along the river Taff.House was very clean all kitchen tool available.Decorated very tastefully, had a great weekend, thanks.
“A gem!” A lovely, clean, tidy place to stay. Everything you need is in the cottage and it was the perfect size for 2 of us.
Just a short train ride into Cardiff, which is the main reason we stayed here.
The cottage is perfectly located near to the Taffs Trail - great for walking or cycling, and I would recommend Umber and Siennas Art Cafe just off the trail in Taffs Well. Beautiful!
We had a great days cycling to Caerphilly Castle and Castle Coch.
Unfortunately, there is nowhere dry to store bikes, so make sure you take bike covers with you.
The local pub Fagins, - just 70 steps away- is fantastic! Good food, good beer and great atmosphere. We didn't manage to try the other establishments as we loved this one so much!
A truly great place to stay, I would highly recommend it and can't wait to go back there again.

Great sociable layout
Nice spacious lodge with a sociable layout. Clean and smart with a well equipped kitchen and the hot tub is a nice extra. Three bathrooms but only one shower which didn't get very hot, wr only stayed 2 nights so not too much of an issue but imagine would be a bit annoying over a full week. Would recommend and stay again! …
Cardiff Bay Luxury Apartment
Gorgeous apartment in a super location
We loved our stay in Cardiff Bay and the apartment made it even more special. It was warm, bright and overlooked the River Ely with a range of boats below the balcony and cormorants and swans passing by. Inside the furniture and fittings were superb with every possible utensil in the modern kitchen, two excellent bathrooms and three TVs. Other touches like the Wii, iPhone docking, board games and a great range of leaflets on local attractions, were most welcome.
Supermarkets and a couple of pubs were in walking distance, a bus stop right outside the gate with regular buses to the city centre, and a railway station too. We took a train into the city, a boat to Mermaid Quay, another boat to Penarth and walked back past the marina. The second time we went in by bus, had a super meal at Madeira Restaurant and took a taxi back - lots of variety for public transport!
Finally, I must mention Jan, the owner, whose communications are personal and informative, whose touches in the decor are fascinating and who is keen to ensure you have a great time.
I would warn against the Harvester next to Tesco [nice staff but too few of them and mediocre food] and recommend getting to know the road layout as we were just getting to understand the flyovers and roundabout system on our last day!
We had a great day at Dylan Thomas' home in Laugharne and on the Gower peninsula but Cardiff itself is a great city to explore with a castle, galleries, Bute Park and the modern architecture of Mermaid Quay. …

Exactly what we were looking for.
This Cardiff townhouse was ideal for us. All rooms were clean and warm. We were within walking distance to both city centre and Mermaid Quay. David was very easy to deal with and his property manager kept in regular touch prior to our arrival. We will definitely like to stay here again the next time we are in Cardiff. …
