We loved staying at TXOKO, Curlews Farm. It was so peaceful with great outside space. The owners were really helpful and made us most welcome. We stayed with our 2 grand daughters ages 3 and 5. they loved the trampoline. The mostly loved feeding the chickens and seeing freshly laid eggs, as well as playing with the resident cat, kittens and lovely Spaniel. Plenty of eggs for breakfast, which was a nice touch on arrival, left in our kitchen. We did sit around the pool, The oldest had a good swim. The pool is is very safe and fenced in. We didn't have the best of weather, Best this did not ruin our stay at all.
The cottage was really well equipped, everything we needed for cooking most nights with a lovely big dining table for all the family.
The beds were comfortable and our son and partner joined us one night and there was still plenty of of room.
Loads of lovely pubs around and things to do. We did visit Poultons Park, which was very easy to get to and a great day out. We would highly recommend this cottage for adults or families. There is 2 bed cottage adjoining, so booking the whole property would really appeal if we are lucky enough to return.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. …

Curlews Farm LITTLE OWLS
Great cottage packed with family amenities
Note: rating is based on Carlow Farms: Txoko as Little Owls had a long term tenant so owner upgraded our booking at no extra charge. Would expect the cottages to be comparable quality.
The cottage was very well equipped and family friendly. There was a lovely patio area with plenty of seating and barbecue facilities which looked out over open country. To the side of the cottages was a shared outdoor pool - bit too chilly for a dip in October but had plenty of room for sitting and poolside wet room with our cottage with would be useful to avoid having to go through the cottage. Inside there were 3 well appointed good sized bedrooms and Helen, the owner, was very happy to configure these to our needs within reason. The bathroom is definitely at the luxury end with a separate bath and large walk-in shower. A must for a family cottage, there is also a separate toilet! Although we didn’t cook, we could have as the large family kitchen had everything needed and the milk, tea and coffee were very welcoming after a long drive.
There’s lots to do in the area and this is a good base to travel from and great to return to and chill at the end of a busy day. …
