Very Good

“Brilliant stay, great facilities and location.”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2018

Our weeks stay in this lovely bungalow with a great garden for the children, toys, books and other activities began with the great person and her daughter who looks after the property greeting us with the keys and giving us a good idea of places to visit and amenities. The bungalow has everything you need, including towels - a great help. There was a constant supply of hot water which is needed when the children have been having an active day. The bungalow was ideal for the beach, shops and cafes. The local library was ideal for more information about the island. The bus service we used daily is fantastic, I would recommend getting a weeks pass which we hopped on and off, although the initial outlay seems a lot, worked out for all seven of us and the amount of travel we did seeing majority of the island was remarkably low. We recommend visiting the local zoo at Sandown where the staff really care about conservation and the animals and do the most amazing job and you can return for your 2nd visit for only £1 each. Steephill Cove is a great place to visit and very scenic, you can go out kayaking which the adults and children enjoyed. A truly remarkable and beautiful area to see and stay. I would recommend this bungalow to family and friends. A bonus for us all is the close proximity of the beach and bus stops.

Owner's reply: Thankyou for your lovely review, and for your tips on the local transport links. It is always pleasing to know Guests enjoyed their stay, hope to see you all again in the future.

“Excellent stay”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2017

The bungalow was in a great location with easy access to beach and Sandown. The house itself was very comfortable and the owner let us gain access earlier than 3.00pm which was great as we'd caught an early morning ferry. There were lots of toys, games and dvds to keep us all amused. Outside there was even a baby slide and a rocking toy for our granddaughter. All in all a lovely home to stay. We'll definately look at staying here again.

Owner's reply: Sue, thank you for the lovely review. It's good to know Guests appreciate the little extras that our family enjoy when we are all staying there. Hope to see you all again in the future.

“Perfect for a young family”

We had another fabulous stay at the bungalow. It is VERY child friendly and easy reach to the park, beach and shops. The children enjoyed playing in the newly landscaped garden. We have certainly made some very happy memories on holiday in your bungalow, thank you.

Owner's reply: That's what we love to hear, we aim to make it a happy space for families with children to unwind and have fun. Thanks for your nice words, and hope to see you again in the future..Jenny

“Sun, sea and fun in sandown!”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2017

Sudbury provided us with a great weekend (three adults and 1 child) on the island! Jenny made it really easy from start to finish answering questions to make sure the house was right for our group. Directions for the house were great and location was perfect. Minutes walk from the beach meant we unpacked and we were a hop, skip and a jump to the beach to enjoy the evening sunshine and fish n chips. We spent the evenings in the garden and made full use of the kitchen with everything to use like being at home. Fully recommend the house for a mixed group and the garden is fab!

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review, it's great to hear our Guests enjoy what Sudbury has to offer and that they feel at home. Hope to see you all again.

“Home from home in a brilliant location!”

Enjoyed a short winter break at Sudbury. Lovely bungalow, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Central heating brilliant (Needed as break taken in December!) Highly recommend, in a great location, few minutes walk to the lovely Sandown Bay and beach.

Owner's reply: I'm glad you were all cosy despite the weather and you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for looking after the place while you were there and hope to see you again in the future.

“Pleasant, comfortable and well equipped”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2016

Pleasant bungalow with well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Location convenient for the seafront (and the local Spar shop for all the things we forgot to bring). We had a great time with very easy handovers at the start and end of our stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for looking after the place so well, and please think about visiting us again in the future.

“Would love to come back.”

We are a family of 7 who have been coming to the Isle of Wight for over 30 years on holiday every summer. This is the first house in all that time that we have wanted to come back to the next year. The layout of the property suits us perfectly, the location is amazing & the kitchen is so well stocked with pans & utensils, it makes cooking a home from home experience. Diane & Jenny make a great team providing a fantastic service. Our only downside is that it's already booked for our time next year.

Owner's reply: Wow, what fulsome praise, and such a shame your weeks were already booked for 2017. I'm glad you all enjoyed staying at Sudbury and hope we see you again in the not too distant future.

“Lovely bungalow in a great location.”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2016

The bungalow had plenty of room for our family, which included Grandma and two families of small children with their parents. It is very well equipped with plenty of kitchen cooking utensils and crockery - including children's plastic plates and cups - toys and books and comfortable beds and sofas. The two double rooms are a really good size, easily fitting a travel cot in as well. It was lovely to have use of the nice garden too. The beach is at the bottom of the road and local shops are also just a few minutes walk away. A real home from home in a great location.

Owner's reply: It's good to know you all enjoyed your stay and found everything you needed in the bungalow., we aim it at family groups and it's nice to know it works. Thanks for looking after the place while you were there, you'd be very welcome to visit again in the future.

“Everything you could ask for”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2016

My only reservation about writing this glowing review is fear that it will become too booked to come back again! A fantastic stay for my wife and I and our 4,2 and 1 year old. Cool despite the heat, a lovely private garden, many beds, wifi and a hundred metre walk to the beach makes this an awesome holiday venue.

Owner's reply: I'm glad you all had a good time and great weather too. We aim Sudbury at the family market so it's nice to know it worked as well for you as it does for me and my family. I look forward to seeing you again in the future. Kind regards, Jenny Broadhurst.

“Perfect in every way”

Reviewed 17 May 2013

I stay in the bungalow with four generations of my family and all were more than just accommodated , what the bungalow didn't have you would never need. From the moment we arrived I felt at home inside was spotlessly clean with four decency size bedrooms all made up with two towels for each guest . Not once did any of us feel like we were under each others feet as it was very spacious. What the owner has achieved here is remarkable a home from home with all you could ask for even done to games DVDs CDs and almost every leaflet to the local attractions my only wish was we could of stayed longer. We definitely come back and have already recommended to friends and family. Mrs L Yelding
