“Definitely a hidden treasure” What a lovely little hidden treasure, Lisa and Rob (owners) have done a great job in making Newchurch Nook a home away from home but still have that relaxing holiday feeling. Tucked away in a sleepy village but never far

    Mill Cottage
    Good value

The cottage was ideal as a base for touring the island, well equipped, clean, owners were really friendly and was spot on with the amount of information they sent through to us before we visited, would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone … see more
    The Annexe at Cedar Cottage
Superb stay at this gorgeous little annex!

Thank you so much Lisa, we had just the best stay at your beautiful cottage. We stayed for two nights at The Annex. Its is very well equipped, lots of thoughtful and useful touches. Not just the usual drinks facilities but fruit, some bread, cereals, eggs, pint of milk and lucky for us, shampoo and shower gel (as we had forgotten ours!!) In the bedroom there is a tv and dvd player plus dvds/books/games, which was great for us as after a long day exploring the island we opted for an early night relaxing in front of the telly, a few drinkies and watching The Devil Wears Prada! Not to mention the wonderful Pointer Inn (5 mins up the road) where we had dinner on our first night, delicious and oh so friendly! Linen was provided, lovely soft egyptian cotton towels. The kitchen was very well equipt with a great range of crockery, pots, utensils etc, everything you could need when self catering. The Annex is spotless, beautifully furnished and ever so comfortable! Lisa is a wonderful host, very warm, friendly and helpful. We will certainly recommend this little gem and be back, maybe in the winter to use those lovely log burners! see more
    The Brew House
this is a lovingly thought through, personal, cosy and rustic getaway with excellent provision for young children

We travelled to the Isle of Wight as a young family of three, having struggled to get any sort of time away together for the last six months of our 14month old daughters little life. Part of the reason was because at that age, you worry about provision for these children, and so you just think-it's easier to stay at home. There is So much positive stuff to say about the brew house, but above all, the care and attention to detail in the house means that you really want for nothing. My wife is allergic to feathers so hypoallergenic duvet was provided, the knives were sharp, the jams and cake given on arrival were delicious, it was clean and the heating was easy to operate. The child's room is just gorgeous and we wanted to transplant it into our own house, there were toys and well chosen story books for bedtime. To have a genuinely restful break with a 14 month old where you feel like you've caught up on a year of missed patches of sleep, for the price this is is remarkable. We'd thoroughly recommend it, and if you have a little one, the sea view wildlife park near ryde is well worth a visit for the ducks alone, also loads of strokeable wallabies, lovely otters, and plenty more. Garlic farm does great coffee, another indispensable ingredient. We'll certainly be back. see more
    Springfield cottage
    Beautiful and Relaxing

Springfield Cottage is beautiful, well equiped and furnished beautifuly. Hillary and David welcomed us and explained the workings etc about the cottage. The cake was yummy. You have your own private area in the garden to relax and wind down with a large glass of wine after a hectic day out. Newchurch is a beautiful village, with a Pub, a Church and a Post Office. There are many walks from the village and, if like us you take your bikes there is a cycle track through the village which takes you to either Newport of Sandown. see more
