Brambles Chine Holidays provide two self-catering holiday bungalows for hire (BAY VIEW and SEA VIEW), on the flat Brambles Chine section of the 37-acre Linstone Chine Holiday village. Situated in the picturesque West Wight area centred around the Needles. The village nestles between fort Victoria coastal country park, Golden Hill Country park, and Colwell bay. Both are located in the quiet back row, and being only a few doors apart, can be booked together to allowing couples and small families to holiday with friends.

Both cottages feature unobstructed views across a large playing field to the sea, allowing children to play within view, while you relax in the sun. Facing due south the sunsets and large sky are spectacular.

SEA VIEW Cottage combines modern facilities with a traditional seaside holiday, providing comfortably flexible accommodation within two bedrooms (one double sized, one twin singles). The twin room has wide French doors that open out to the rear patio.



The bathroom has a walk-in quadrant shower, sink and WC. The kitchen area has gas cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, dishwasher, Dulce Gusto pod coffee machine, quality pots, pans, plus crockery and cutlery for six.

All furnishings are to a high standard, and the cottage is spotlessly cleaned and sanitised for your safety and enjoyment throughout this difficult period.

In the living room a wall mounted Smart UHD 4k TV provides NETFLIX, Prime Video, and other streaming services free of charge. Wall mounted TV's are also provided in each bedroom. Fast 70Mb fibre broadband is installed. Fully gas central heated, plus Dimplex flame effect fan heater ensure your comfort.

Outside we provide a round eight seater picnic table, and on the back patio a two seater bistro table and chairs to enjoy secluded breakfasts in the morning sun. Two sun loungers complete the outdoor setting. Bricks for disposable BBQ's on the patio.

Laundered 4.5 tog duvets plus a throw are provided for each bed, 7.5 tog are available on request. Fillings are hypo-allergenic, covers are poly cotton, and hotel quality 300 count 100% cotton sateen fitted bottom sheets. All beds and mattresses are new this year, and each mattress is 1500 pocket sprung and memory foam topped. Sleep well in our bio-sphere clean air.

Situated along a narrow lane on the Linstone Chine Holiday Park, in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, these cottages serve as a great base to explore all the island has to offer and is ideal for walkers, cyclists and families alike. Activities on the playing field range from 9-hole fun golf, crazy golf, pitch-n-put, safe fenced children’s playground, grass open tennis court, football pitch, or just fly your own kite. A trim trail follows the pathways of a second field.

For an old fashioned seaside holiday feel, Colwell Bay is 15 minutes walk along the beach from the site slipway, or a 5-minute drive with PAYG parking. It's clear, calm water, and gently sloping sand and shingle makes an ideal beach for swimming, boat and paddle board hire, alongside modern café, Bistro restaurants including 'The Hut' (featured in GQ magazine), and the Longbeach bar (ideal for sunset watching). Your holiday can have a taste of both modern and traditional.

A further easy walk along the coastal promenade brings you to Totland Bay and 'THE BAY' and 'WATERFRONT' beach restaurants. For the fit, a walk up and over National Trust’s Headon Warren for the view, then on to Alum Bay with it's coloured sands, amusements, boat trips around the Needles.

A short car or bus drive away, but still in West Wight, you can enjoy the West Wight Alpacas, Newtown Estuary, Calbourne Mill, with many designated cycle routes throughout. Surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts will enjoy Compton Bay, plus it’s a great place to go fossil hunting and see the dinosaur footprints at low tide. Tapnell Farm Park is local and great fun for a family day out. This however only touches on what you can do on the Isle of Wight. It's best to check what's happening in the local paper, and pick up the free ferry brochure as you travel across.

Further afield is Carisbrooke Castle, Robin Hill, the Dinosaur Museum, Osborne House, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, the Pearl Centre or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes. Whatever you decide one thing’s for sure, the Isle of Wight has plenty to offer.

SEA VIEW cottage has a key-safe by the front door for your safe non-contact access and lockup, plus a second key inside. The access code will be sent after final payment. The cottage is available from 4.00 p.m. and please vacate by 10.00 a.m. on your leaving day, to allow for a Covid compliant clean. The shop on-site sells basic items and is open until 12.30 p.m. low season, and later in high season. Freshwater is a few minutes away by car, with 30-minute fee parking, but why not walk or cycle. It has a large Co-op plus several smaller supermarkets, chemist, a fishmonger, butcher, and many places to stop for coffee.

No smoking at this property

House rules

The holiday village is approached along a recently resurfaced narrow single lane road with speed humps. Due to the SSSI status of the crumbling cliff at the sea edge, part is unfenced, and there can at certain times of the year be blue slipper clay to avoid on the beach. Our private beach is steeply shelving with fast tides. Children must be supervised at all times in these areas. Cowell bay is the flat shallow safe area but this year can only be reached via the beach at low tide.

How do damage deposits work?
