“Beautiful views” What should I start?? This is a lovely bungalow & more than big enough to stop you getting under each others feet, the pictures of the views only tell half the story, I mean wow! Just sitting on the sofa looking out the patio doors watching ships & boats go by drinking a coffee whilst slowly waking up in the morning is something I'm really missing. Shanklin beach is only 40 minutes away by car which is a great day out, be sure to visit the Christmas shop & rock shop (sweets) in the town of Shanklin as well. If you want to keep it local the beaches are not even 5 minutes away at the bottom of the bungalows, if you love skimming stones (like me & my son) I'd say turn right but turn left for more sand type beaches. If you turn left & fancy a nice walk along the beach brave climbing over the rocks as you find a lovely bar/restaurant called the hut (this can be accessed by car by taking a short drive & turning down colwell bay & parking in the pay & display car at the rear). Fort Victoria is worth visit & you can learn some of the history about the fort as well. The needles is a must as there is some amazing views & a lot to do here. Also be sure to visit Amazon world for a day out. The horse & groom is a great place for meal the portions are more than generous so make sure you're wearing your stretchy pants. I think I've covered some the great things to do around here, I hope you enjoy this bungalow as much as we did & make some lasting memories. Margaret is very helpful & easily contactable if needed, I can't thank her enough for letting us use her bungalow for the week, if can ever use this again I won't hesitate to make contact & snap up a couple of weeks here again.
Thank you again Margaret for this wonderful opportunity to make some lasting memories.
“What a pefect place to stay” We could not have asked for more from Needlepoint. It is well located with a fantatsic view across to the Needles from the patio area with plenty of sun all day long. It is ideally located for visiting places in West Wight but noweherte is too far away - we still had day trips to the far side of the island without feeling the travel was a bind. It is genuinely less than 5 minutes drive froim the Yarmouth ferry terminal.
The property has been refurbished very well, with excellent decor throughout, the kitchen area is well equipped with everything you could possibly need to self cater very well - there are some great fram shops on the island and we bought some lovely fresh produce to cook (washed down with some good island brewed ales. The property was warm cosy and exceptionally clean.
Would thoroughly reccomend staying here - we will certainly book again if/when we return to the Isle of Wight.
