“Cozy, Relaxing, and Beautiful”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

It is a beautiful place. The place was very spacious and made me feel at home. It had everything I needed for the week and more. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming - shame we didn't get to speak more. I would definitely recommend.

“Pristine cottage in a lovely environment”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2013

I enjoyed a very relaxing week in this lovely cottage. The space is more generous than photos suggest, and the hosts have made sure that you have everything you need to be completely self-contained. No place on earth could be cleaner, and the décor is cheerful yet peaceful. The kitchen comes stocked with breakfast essentials in addition to fresh fruit and homemade goodies, plus there are convenience stores within walking distance and major shopping opportunities just a few miles away. I particularly benefited from the location of the cottage as a jumping off place to go off and meet up with friends, always getting to drive through beautiful countryside to do so. The hosts (Hilary and Mike) respond in a heartbeat to any questions or concerns, though they also give you plenty of space to enjoy your own holiday. I can easily see why they have so many frequent returnees.

“A true home from home”

From the second we arrived we were made to feel at home. A lovely welcome from the owners and fresh made bread and cakes which were delicious. The cottage is in a beautiful location with lots to do around it. If we need to stay down there again this will be our first port of call

“One of a kind gem”

Super peaceful and clean, Just outside of the city a definite worthwhile stay, I got my office to book this as there is a crossfit box handy and also as i needed my own kitchen as i cook a lot of meals throughout the day, Couldn't of asked for anything more, Coming over from Australia the English hospitality from the Two owners at the cottage was amazing right down to the fresh scones on the bench when i arrived, next time i'm over I will be staying here without even thinking, thoroughly enjoyable stay thanks again, Also the WI-FI was amazing two thumbs up.

The Stable at Rambler Cottage is a fantastic place to stay, your hosts Hilary and Mike are great and the welcome pack provided gives you everything and more you need for a weekend get away. There are great local pubs with local fresh produce and you are not far from the fresh air of the Hampshire South Downs. Recommend The Brush Makers Arms for dinner and The Queen Elizabeth Country Park for walks in the woods.

“Fabulous”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2012

What a lovely stay. So pretty and quiet – a real get away from it all weekend. Accommodation is great as is hospitality. We received a pack of homemade cake, bread and jam. Hilary and Mike had thought of everything and we would have liked to have stayed for longer. Would definitely visit again.

“Top cless accommodation”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2012

We spent a week at the cottage in July 2012 before our cruise. Despite the wet and rather chilly weather our stay was very comfortable. The cottage and all facilities and euipment are excellent. The welcome pack was great and generous - loved the lemon drizzle cake. Hilary & Mike were very friendly and helpful even down to giving us directions to go cross country to Southampton docks - we didn't get lost! Thank you. “The Perfect Escape”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2012

Hilary and Mike made us both very welcome at the Stables. The fresh home made bread and lemon drizzle cake were lovely. Everything was clean and tidy and definitely deserved the 4-Star rating. The Stables was a perfect location for our days out to Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and the New Forest, where there are numerous places to visit. We will definitely recommend this place to friends, and will try to return there ourselves in the future, hopefully when it is a little warmer in the evening so we could sit out and enjoy the gardens.

“Lovely and welcoming”

The Stablets were really pretty and well equipt and the surrounding area was lovely. Hilary and Mike were very friendly and hospitable and the homemade bread and cake in the cottage on arrival were a lovely welcome! We really enjoyed our stay.

“A welcoming home away from home!”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2012

We were greeted and showed in by the friendly owner, despite the heavy rain soaking her through. The property is very pretty on the outside, and spotlessly presented on the inside, it has everything you need for any length of stay. The welcome pack was a highlight, delicious home made Lemon drizzle cake and bread and some other bits and pieces that really take the stress of having to pop straight to the shops for supplies. The owner had gone the extra mile knowing it was my partners birthday and provided candles for the cake, and even a birthday card! We'd definitely love to come back for longer.
