"Sunshine 247365", as featured in the Guardian and the Daily Mail Beach Sun Retreat uniquely offers the 'perfect beach and summer holiday' with guaranteed sunbathing 365 days a year! A former seaside hotel, the property has been refurbished to an exceptional standard to provide a stylish, one off and spacious holiday retreat, nestled in a quiet location at the end of a private road, with a large lawned garden and direct private access from the side of the house to the sandy beach.
The retreat is one of the first in the country, alongside The Holistic Medical Centre in Harley Street and Grange St Pauls 5* Hotel, to have installed 'Real Sunlight's' innovative health-giving sun simulators. The sun room is part of the St Tropez-style large living area and provides a multi sensory tropical haven where guests can top up their tan and feel fabulous since it is beneficial against a whole host of health conditions such as SAD, stress, arthritis, skin problems, sleeping disorders, Vitamin D deficiency and so on.
Whether it is enjoying playing celebrity chef with the 7+hob range cooker, spinning the high end vinyl decks as a superstar DJ, or relaxing in front of a great movie in the authentic cinema room featuring a 3D TV, velvet cinema seats and popcorn machine, guests will have a great time in this house!
For an excellent night's sleep, fully unwind in the boutique-style individually-designed bedrooms featuring 2 king size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and hand carved marble fireplaces plus 1 double, 3 twin bedrooms with en suite facilities, and 1 single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom for the double and single bedroom guests to share. Sumptuous linen and towels are provided.
For those that can bear to leave the house, it is an ideal base to enjoy Kent's many attractions. Sandy beaches, rolling countryside, picturesque villages, historic Canterbury, port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel are all within easy reach. The upper floors are unoccupied so visitors will have sole occupancy of the house and garden. Shop and pub within 500 yards.
Our changeover days are Mondays and Fridays. The house is available for 3 night weekend stays with arrival on Friday as well as 4 night mid week stays with arrival on Monday. 7 night plus longer stays are also welcome.
Occasionally we can offer discounts for mid week 4 night stays so please do inquire :)

Single bedroom with adjustable bed. Storage room with extra wardrobe, spare bed and baby cot. We can also add a high quality fold out bed to this room plus we have an air mattress avaiable for an extra guest.

We stayed at the house for a long weekend to celebrate a 50th Birthday. The house is amazing .... I’d be here all day trying to explain, so quite simply it’s amazing! Go see for yourself. Good location - pub within walking distance does good food and has a wide selection of gins! We also had a chef come in to cook on the Saturday night (recommended by Louise) and the food was great. One friend said the dessert was the best he’d ever had!

“Excellent 5 star”
I would like to say that this is a perfect place to stay, we felt at home (so much that my granddaughter asked if we could move in full time (I wish!!!!) I disagree with the review that a TV should be in another room other than the cinema room, I was a bit concerned about this before we got there, but we found that we spent the time together and enjoyed each others company and never missed it (other than my Mum watching Strictly for an hour on Saturday night). The other main thing in a review is that the beds are very comfortable, slept perfect every night. Wonderful place that we all agreed on, and would recommend to anyone 5 stars for everything x

“50th Birthday Surprise Weekend”
Booked the cottage to celebrate my husband's 50th Birthday along with our daughters and partners. It was an amazing weekend. The house was fab with the lights, disco, party feel. The loungers and sun experience was so chilled, we all enjoyed that. On Saturday evening we booked a chef to come in and cook for us which I would thoroughly recommend. All in all it's a very impressive property with some great features.

“Beach Sun retreat fabulous”
Lovely house with 5 star finishing touches. Great location. Fantastic jacuzzi bath and wet room with underfloor heating. Sun room fabulous. Loved the lighting and music system. Our dog loved the large garden and beach walks. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Had a lovely family holiday and would recommend to families/adults/girly breaks away.

I stayed here with my family which included two little toddlers. They loved the space and having lots of room to run around in. For the adults it was also great fun with the cinema room and the beach area. (Which was great in the middle on a snowy feb weekend!!) Its not like any other holiday house I've stayed in and is really unique so definitely worth a stay! The location is also excellent right near the beach and all the shops in Dymchurch. We took a trip on the mini steam train, which is a must for little ones. Would definitely recommend for families as well as for weekends away with groups of friends.

“Beach Sun Retreat Dymchurch”
I hired this venue for my Hen Weekend. Upon arrival we were met by the house keeper who was charming and very helpful. The house was bright and beautiful and perfect for what I wanted being a Older Hen. We relaxed, Watched movies, ate popcorn, drank bubbles and generally chilled. The beach was on our Doorstep and we walked to the Ocean Pub for a great Sunday Lunch. My only disappointment was the stereo system when eventually we got working with some help, kept shutting off after 3-4 records. I had taken my 45 Vinyl collection but because of the system we ended up having to play the same 3 80s CDs all weekend. Maybe not such a complicated system would be more beneficial! All my guests thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and I would not hesitate to hire the house again. One added benefit would be a hot tub ! But I thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi bath We also had a therapist called Nathalie attend the house on Saturday from Pure Equilibrium who was great and whom I would definitely recommend to friends. .

“Perfect place for celebrating an occasion”
Really lovely place to stay if you are looking to celebrate a birthday or stag or hen . I would say between age 20-50 would benefit most because they would enjoy the sun lounge/d.j and bar area it's perfect for a party!! The upstairs is currently being renovated to accommodate more guests,which I think is only going to make this house more appealing . Dymchurch itself wasn't particularly to my liking but the house more then made up for that ,I will definitely like to revisit. Had great communication with the company holiday lettings in-particular Louise Gore who was very kind and helpful. Bernice beck
“Great family treat”
I was a bit nervous by all the "hen do" like comments... But rest assured this property is ideal for a family get away too. Moments from the sandy beach, full of character, this property oozes charm and fun. The owners are very attentive and the stay has been a dream end to end. The kids love the sunshine room, coloured lights, cinema, decks, pretending to accept their guests at reception and even wash up with the authentic hotel kitchen feel. Dymchurch is full of old English charm, the railway is so much fun, a visit to the zoo and plenty of time for old fashioned penny slot machines too! Thoroughly recommend to anyone interested - incredible attention to detail throughout the property

We were four ladies looking for a weekend away which was relaxing and fun and we couldn't have asked for more! On arrival Karl the owner was there waiting for us, such a nice friendly guy who made us feel very welcome while showing us around and how to use the sun room and DJ decks etc. The house itself is one of a kind and quite quirky, couldn't fault anything, the kitchen had EVERYTHING you could ever need, the beds were SOOO comfy. As for the SUN room we spent nearly all weekend there relaxing with cocktails and listening to music it does really feel like you are away on holiday.... Definately recommend this house for a fun weekend with the girls.

“fantastic, relaxing holiday”
A unique place to stay, right beside fabulous sandy beach which was empty even when weather was good. Could play cricket and build sandcastles all day. When the sun was not shinning could still catch the rays in the sun room, while the kids watched 3d films in the cinema!
