Rarely does a self-catering holiday property boast such close proximity to one of Northumberland’s most gorgeous beaches but not only is its location idyllic, the supreme quality throughout the accommodation is the epitome of luxury too! With six beautifully co-ordinated spacious bedrooms; four of them with pristine en-suite shower rooms, two twin rooms and a fabulous family room to comfortably sleep four, along with a sumptuous family bathroom with Spa bath. This prestigious property is perfect for that special gathering of family and friends or for those who simply prefer the finer things in life.

The stylish lounge is spacious and tastefully furnished with French doors giving a bright and airy ambience whilst watching the ever changing seascape and listening to the sea crashing against the shore line. The well-appointed, contemporary kitchen has solid oak units capped with granite work surfaces and a dining area where the sea view can mesmerise too....

So much thought and attention to detail is evident throughout – even a collection of wet suits are provided for those wishing to experience the North Sea! And for those times when indoor entertainment is preferred, an Xbox 360 will be appreciated.

Waters Edge is a newly built detached property uniquely positioned right on the sea front of the friendly coastal village of Beadnell, where the beach is right at the bottom of the garden so you can drop off to sleep listening to the waves breaking on the shore. The extensive sweep of golden sands Beadnell Bay is famous for is within walking distance; a popular location for those who enjoy an extensive range of quality water-sports, including sea kayaking, wind and kite surfing and scuba diving. And for those who prefer a little less exertion, this special location will also appeal to those who simply enjoy wandering along the seashore; listen to the lap of the waves against the shoreline and inhale the invigorating smells of the sea air…

The traditional fishing port of Seahouses is only two miles up the coastline with its good range of local shops including a Co-op and the Chinese takeaway and Indian restaurants are well worth a try. Watch the trawlers return to the harbour with their daily catch or take a boat trip to the Farne Islands – famous for bird sanctuaries and the seal colony – or set sail to test your own fishing skills! There are several golf courses, some of them at championship level, in the area and horse riding is available close by too.

A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic castle, which commands the power and presence of the seasoned film set it regularly becomes.

The elegant Georgian town of Berwick, which straddles the salmon-rich river Tweed, is 17 miles north and the bustling market town of Alnwick with its own magnificent castle is the ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!) also offering many facilities around 15 miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant set within the largest tree house in Europe!

Please note we are situated on the Sea side of Beadnell village, next to the village shop. There is another property called Watersedge on the other side of the road....this is not us!. If you have to walk across the road to access the beach you have arrived at the wrong property.

Beach on the doorstep and pet friendly. We had 14 people staying here and had plenty of room. Was very clean and provided everything you could possibly need. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Watersedge. The house was as shown, in the gallery photos. Daniel was very accommodating, especially with our internet shop. We had a wonderful Christmas there and its in a beautiful part of the country.

“Fantastic house, fantastic location”

Just arrived back from a 4 night trip here with a large group of family & friends (10 adults, 4 children aged 7month - 5 year, and a dog). The house is beautiful and in a fantastic location, right on the beach, perfect for morning/evening walks with the kids/dog. First night there was made for the kids when we spotted a seal popping its head out the sea right in front of where we were sat in the back garden. Very spacious house, even with such a large group. All rooms very nicely decorated and very clean/tidy upon arrival. Would highly recommend to anyone and have even discussed returning ourselves already! Luckily we had some nice weather and were able to have a couple bbq's out the back overlooking the beach. Owners very helpful when booking and communicating with about arrival etc.
