“Lovely flat, Amazing views!” We stayed here the week after our wedding with our 3 year old daughter. We have stayed here before and loved it each time. The flat is gorgeous, really well laid out and furnished. It is clean and comfortable, and offers amazing views of the south bay. The flat is up a flight of stairs, however they are not steep and they were not a problem for our daughter (or for us carrying all her things!) I would highly recommend this flat, it really is the perfect place to stay.

“Very clean and comfortable” We found number 6 beautifully clean and well presented. A real treat to find wine, milk, fruit juice and bottled water in the fridge. We were pleasantly surprised to find how near it was to York town centre.

“Fabulous apartment, great location.” Have been to York on several occasions and stayed in hotels. This year decided on an apartment. Best decision! Much more relaxing we all agreed. No.8 Precentors Court is fabulous. Very comfortable and great location, within 50m of the Minster. Comfortably furnished and good beds and linen. Daryl was very accommodating and let us have early access to property and leave late to catch our trains. All in all an excellent experience. Thank you for the proseco, nice touch. We will be back!

“Absolutely Fabulous” Spent Monday to Friday at Minster Bells with 8 friends and could quite happily have stayed longer. The house is situated on a street with shops, bars, cafes all around. It is in a fantastic location to access the centre with all the shops, bars and places of interest close by. We walked to the rail station to pick up a shuttle bus to the races, but were quite warm when we arrived as it is a 15 minute walk in heels, so maybe a taxi to the races would have been better. But other than that we strolled everywhere. The house has a lovely atmosphere, it is light, airy and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and we spent lots of time sitting around the huge table in the kitchen, eating, drinking, chatting and laughing. The bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of storage space and lots of mirrors and place to plug in the hairdryer, which was great for all the girls! Janet Jacobi was so helpful. I emailed her many times before our visit for information and she was always so kind, nothing was too much trouble. She also put up balloons and banners for a birthday celebration. I would certainly recommend staying at Minster Bells and should we return to York in the future, I will be ringing Janet.

“An excellent find ... a beautiful apartment in the perfect location for attractions” This beautiful apartment is absolutely as described and the 6 previous reviews are accurate. Karen left us a fabulous grocery pack (we particularly enjoyed the wine - thank you Karen!). I was the first to arrive and received a lovely friendly welcome. The location is perfect...really, it is just a short stroll from the attractions. It was modern, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy. We were lucky enough to have a lovely day and had tea outside in the courtyard. To sum up, we will definately book to stay here again as a group but also as individual families...it really is that perfect. Oh, and value for money? Superb...it was less per head for each of us than an impersonal hotel. No brainer.

“Excellent property to stay if visiting York” Excellent property to stay if visiting York. Very clean and all you need for a great get away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended to friends and family and will definitely go back. Sofa beds are very comfortable and place is ideal for 2 to 4 people. Also had the pleasure of meeting Lynne the owner who was lovely. Only a short walk to York Minster and shops. A great city to visit with lovely friendly people.

“Beautiful House, great location” What a wonderful house and the owner Bridget made sure we needed everything for our stay as well as leaving us some treats which was unexpected, the children especially loved the Easter chocolates! House was beautiful and could not fault anything inside it. Only one downside was parking, struggled to find parking in the day nearby but was able to park after tea time, would highly recommend this house.

“Perfect! Definitely choose here!” Me, my mum and my girls aged 7, 5 and 1 had a lovely stay here. The cottage is lovely and decorated to a high standard. The position couldn't be better. Right in the middle of everything (but without this being a problem in any way). There is 40 min parking outside to unload. The Long stay car park is only 100 metres from the house and after a bit of patience we got parked ok. Being an old town this is just something you have to put up with! :) Was particularly pleased to see a proper additional mattress to use in the travel cot. The kids were extremely happy with their bedroom and wall mounted TV with DVD slot, especially when they found the Lego movie DVD downstairs! The kitchen is lovely with all good quality electricals. The owner was very helpful with everything and we could not fault the cottage at all. The only things I will mention is possibly look at some sort of baby gate for bottom of stairs as there is a stone floor and we were always having to be on our guard that she might try to go upstairs and fall back down (which she turned in to a game!) not a problem of course if you don't have toddlers! The other thing is that the downstairs windows do not open- and only some upstairs ( which the owner is aware of and trying to sort) so quite a lot of condensation built up on the windows after showers and in the morning. However this was not a problem for us or anyone else staying but may be for the owner if not seen to soon.

“The Loft. YORK” Superb accommodation, ideally situated in York city centre. Sharon was always available to answer any enquiries related to our stay. We all had a great week end and will definitely recommend this apartment as a first class place to stay. Everything was easy to get to, from sight seeing, stroll along the river, restraunts/entertainment and shopping. A 10 out of 10 break

“A great find” An excellent house within easy walking distance of York city centre. Minster House is perfect for a large group get-together. The house was spacious, very clean and well-equipped. The owners were very kind, providing a lovely welcome pack and also very helpful, recommending some of their favourite local restaurants, take-aways etc. All of our group loved the property and I am sure we will return in the future.

“Fantastic house” We booked this accommodation for the Goth Weekend in Whitby. We were a party of eight and couldn't have been more delighted when we pulled up to this lovely house. The first plus to the house was allocated parking for three vehicles in front of the property. As it was so busy that weekend heaven knows where we would have had to put the cars without this. The house sleeps twelve so eight of us rattled around easily without feeling crammed in. There are two sitting rooms although we didn't even have to use the back one as there was more than adequate seating for all of us in the front lounge. If we had been there longer it would have been nice to be able to spread out and if you are taking children it would be ideal for them for x box, games etc as wifi is supplied as well. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful kitchen which had a massive central table which just calls out for eating and drinking around it. Every utensil pot,pan, glass you could possibly need provided for you in this room. High quality spec appliances and even a DAB radio for music. In the utility room off the kitchen there is a washer, dryer and fridge freezer and most importantly - a downstairs loo and shower. Upstairs there are six bedrooms, three doubles and three twin. Everybody commented on how comfortable the mattresses were and the quality of the bedding. There are three further bathrooms up stairs. One en suite and two other family bathrooms one on each floor. House lovely and cosy for such a large place, in fact even with no heating on at night I had to have bedroom window open. Outside there is a small (but perfectly formed) courtyard with wooden seating and table, would be lovely in the summer for a barbecue. What more can I say about this gorgeous place....from the first contact Anne the owner promptly answered emails and telephone calls giving us complete confidence in the booking. We were very sad to leave and the only regret we had was not booked it for the week instead of just the weekend. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is so central to Whitby you can be on the front in less than five minutes but tucked away in a small square so just away from the hustle bustle and noise. Get booking ! This place worked out much cheaper than an ordinary bed and breakfast and we got a standard much higher than we ever expected.
