“What a wonderful cottage; amazing.” Set in its own bit of heaven, on arrival Kate made us feel like old friends greeted with a lovely smile and a delightful lemon drizzle cake. The cottage was spotless but at the same time allowed you to feel totally relaxed. Never mind the rain, we had a fantastic time . Castles to visit , lochs to take trips on, distilleries to float around and a wonderful trip to Skye.

“utopia” we stayed there with extended family, 2 very happy dogs and had the most wonderful relaxing holiday in years. The House is so beautiful we all felt like kings! Pat was extremely helpful throughout the whole booking process, What we have is a heavenly house in a spectacular location with views to die for. Apart from a few midges and the odd downpour (well it is the west coast of Scotland) nothing spoiled our time there. We had enough room for everyone to do their own thing or get together. I could go on and on about how wonderful the house is, the pictures on the website do not do it justice. You will just have to go and see for yourself. You wont be disappointed. . I am a Scotsman and have traveled to may areas in our beautiful country but this is the furthest West and the whole areas is stunning. One of our days sitting on the White Silver sanded beach that was filmed in Local Hero, you could easily think that you where in the Caribbean...if it was a few degrees hotter :)

“Your own magical place in the Highlands” From the moment you reach the gate to the property you know that you are somewhere special. Driving up the windy track through your own wood is fantastic with the children looking for glimpses of the cottage. Once at the top of the drive the feeling of space, privacy and remoteness is absolutely wonderful, together with more woods at the rear of the property to explore and large grass areas for ball games. The views to the mountains in the distance are great and the sound of silence is a fantastic way to unwind. Coille Diobhain is a beautiful cottage with loads of character and has everything there that you could wish for to make your stay feel like a home from home. The new sun lounge really adds to the feeling of space and has views all around towards the distant mountains and garden and woods. The kids loved going to the woodstore at the top of the garden to get some logs for the wood burner fire. We had two curious sheep on the land while we were there which often came to the sun lounge windows in the evening, to watch the television maybe. We also saw hares in the garden together with bats in the evening and even some mischievous crows that kept tapping on the windows. The perimeter of the property is securely fenced off so it is great for the children to be able to roam about and explore. The cottage is in a great position for local walks for which there are many and also for getting out and touring, for which if you want to explore you need to drive approx an hour to reach places like silver sands of morar,Caingormes, Glen Coe, Loch Ness for which the Rib boat trip is awsome. All in all if you are looking for a cottage with lots and lots of space that is away from the hustle and bustle of daily life then it will not disappoint, the only problem is you have to leave. Would definitely recommend and when we visit this part of the country again would love to come back to Coille Diobhain.
